1st Lt Michael Sergei glanced to his left a small distance from him, he could see 1st Lt Joana Davidson together with her subordinates as well. Joana had regained her the arm that she lost thanks to the tier 3 life special affinity mage that was deployed to the mining camp. Joana also had a serious look on her face, she too could feel the danger of this fight.
Joana and Michael had developed a lot of battle experience during their time in the Dralia mountain range, unlike the people who joined the war when it was just declared and have no experience to protect themselves.
Both Joana and Michael and the initial mages who were there when Rawyth was still probing Arin had developed great experience, however that did not prevent others from dying, amongst the 1st Lieutenant ranked individuals that started off with Michael and Joana two died.
The first to die had been ambushed by the forces of Rawyth when it was her team's turn to respond to the probes of Rawyth, the second was killed after trying to fight an enemy much stronger than him. Michael could not help but think of some of his subordinate mages who had been killed in the period of this war.
The ones who died the most were tier 1 mages, some were only just out of military Academy, as much as military Academy teaches about war, most of the young mages were not ready for the type of conflict found in this war.
During the time Arin was still trying to regroup he even saw the name of young mage called Noah Belfort who was conformed to be killed, the reason he looked at the name was because the name of the Academy the young mage came from was written with his name.
Witfield Academy, where he sent a pair of children there 8 years ago, he wondered how those two kids were doing after all this time, or if they were going to join him in this war as well.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Michael was not given the time to mull over his thoughts as the sound of objects breaking the sound barrier was heard as these objects barrelled towards the fortified position of Arin forces.
The Ruhen Commander Major Ken Wright did not waste time on a face off between his forces and Arin's forces as he casted tier 4 combination spell [Multiple Meteorite]. The spell summoned multiple numbers of burning meteorite to fall on the enemy position with high momentum.
The spell was an improved version of its tier 3 original version which only summoned a single meteorite with smaller size and a lower temperature on the flames surrounding the meteorite.
After casting the spell, Major Wright had a light in his green eyes as her waited for the response of Arin's commander, Alexandria Wells.
"This fellow those not waste time…"
There was a look of annoyance on Commander Wells' middle aged face as she looked at those falling meteorites, however Major Wells was not phased as she looked at them as they fall towards her position.
The Major casted tier 4 combination spell [Multiple Dark Ice Lances] to counter the meteorites, Major Wells had high talent in Ice spells such that she could cast tier 4 Ice spells with great ability. Multiple giant black ice lances were summoned as they targeted the meteorites with even greater speeds.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The collisions of these great tier 4 spells made large noises on the battlefield, all people looked up to the atmosphere to view the explosions of these spells, it was a pretty view.
"So this is the power of tier 4 mages, it's much greater than I could have imagined…"
Michael muttered to himself as he looked in awe at the power of these tier 4 individuals, as he was still lost in awe he heard a shout behind him.
"Michael!! Shield!!"
That was the voice of Captain Hans Ignocia, Michael and the Captain had developed a friendship after living together in the Dralia Mountain Range for a few years and having fought together.
Michael looked dazed for a second as he looked at Joana cast her tier 2 combination spell [Great Mud Wall], it was only after he looked up and saw the incoming shockwaves created by the two tier 4 spells that he understood the danger they were in.
Michael thus casted the best defensive spell he could cast the fastest, tier 2 combination spell, [Infernal Wall] the spell was created using fire and wind elements. However fire and wind elements are not the most defensive elements, such that Michael was still put to the ground by the shock waves, it was not only him, many people got killed or injured by the shockwaves.
The two tier 4 mages did not even comment about the casualties brought forth by the shockwaves of their spells.
"Wright let's have our battle a little bit further away."
Major Wells said those words as she started to flout up into the air, as the wind blew her blond hair, there was a light in her hazel eyes. Major Wells might have not commented on the casualties created by the aftermath of their spells, but she understood that fighting next to their subordinates would only create more destruction than intended.
"Sure why not."
Major Wright agreed with a smile, he too started to flout up into the air, as the wind blew his brown hair.
As the two big shots left to have their own separate battle, the big battle started immediately with an exchange of long range attacks, the side of Ruhen also charged the fortified position of Arin forces with their regular forces in the front.
The two sides of Arin and Ruhen finally met in battle, regular human fighting regular human, sometimes shooting mages who are not paying attention with arrows. The mages also started to fight against each other.
'Michael, try to survive this battle.'
Michael thought to himself as he started to lead his subordinates to cast spells at the enemy.
Michael kept casting his spells killing regular human with high efficiency, whether using his Lighting, Fire or Wind spells, sometimes he glanced high in the atmosphere where the tier 4 commanders were fighting.
'The mana being released is enough to kill me even if it released as pure mana.'
Michael thought to himself as he looked at their battle, the place where the two commanders were fighting was highly saturated by elements of Darkness, Water/Ice, Wind, Earth and Fire.
As Michael was looking at the fight he felt a great threat to his side.
