Chapter 49 - CHAPTER 48: A partner (minor grammar fixes)

~ 2 weeks later ~

My progress has been going great so far, and it has only gotten faster each day that passed. As of right now, I can lift well over 120k tons on each limb after 2 weeks of semi-intense training. Yeah, an enormous leap, but it was considerable growth, and a well-deserved gain.

Though a small downside is that since I no longer had my previous training bonuses/perks, I realized truly just how slow my progress was compared to when I had them.

It sucked, but 'reactive evolution' made the whole thing somewhat worth it. I can only gain more strength, even faster from here on. And after training intensely for the last two weeks, even my recovery speed has had a notable increase, as expected. Especially since even that was nerfed to a massive degree.

But overtime it got faster and faster. Each time I felt fatigue, the estimation for certain injuries was decreasing overtime, like a missing arm. For regenerate something like that, I would need to wait for a couple months, but now it took only one to two months tops.

The perk seemed like it improved the more 'injuries', however small the body went through, then 'reactive evolution' will slowly make that process absolute overtime, making my regeneration potentially instant in due time.

So, I would say it was steady progress, nonetheless.

Turning towards the door, I sensed someone approaching my home at a steady pace.

" Guess she decided it would be better to show up earlier, just in case, I suppose. *phew!* At least I'm done with practice for the day. "

I was wearing a standard blue shorts with and grey marina with a black skin tight layer underneath it all. It was comfortable to be in. I was all sweaty though, but not exhausted anymore. My recovery for stamina was almost comparable to that of my prime self.

'Soon Zane, soon...'

...

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

" I'm, coming! "

Opening the door, I saw Diana in all her glory. Wearing fitting blue jeans and a rad scarf with a white jacket and navy blue shirts underneath, matching with her heals. She was a solid 9/10 for the occasion. If there was one.

" May I come in? or are you going to keep me waiting? "

Smiling at her response, I took motioned a gesture for her to come in. Taking small glances, clearly examining me. She was looking at my figure somewhat intently this time, her eyes being locked on a bit longer than expected.

" Long time no see... Say, have you gotten even taller, Zane? " She asked curiously. It had been a while since she saw me. We only got into contact recently, 2 days ago to be precise.

" Yes. I have another inch to be specific. "

" I can see that much, I suppose. Your physique... has seemed to improve compared to before. Your arms and shoulders are a bit wider than before well as your waist appearing smaller too. Truly, your body is quite the physical phenomenon. No being should be this... sculpted as humans called it? It even seems that you have maintained a low percent body fat for your rather 'chiseled' frame.

But, I can also see that you have much more explosive power compared to before... "

Thinking for a bit, I thought about her description of me, It was clear this was her assessing my strength, a true warrior, but it's also clear that she wanted to fight me. The urge of excitement was practically leaking off of her body. Literally.

Ever since my intellect reached the 600th mark, I could now somewhat discern feelings/emotions from one another on instinct. It was rather weird at first, but I adapted after a bit of continuos exposure.

" Thanks for your insight ,D, and yes. I've been training rigorously for the past couple of months, pushing past my limits every day. "

If I had garous's physique before. I was now developing Kakumei Goku's physique. My muscles have become a little thicker than before, as well as my body getting even more defined.

" I can definitely see that... Say, care for a little spar? I haven't had a good fight in a while, much less a sparring partner ".

Thinking about it for a second, it wouldn't do any harm, plus. Her face was the epitome of " pwease", so it was next to impossible to reject her.

" Sure, I don't see why not. Though, we have to take it easy. "

" I am not a child zane, I know what I need to do." She responded, in mock annoyance.

With that said, we both ead out to the nearby forest. I was leading us there until we reached our destination.

" I don't suppose you will be fighting in those will you? ". I asked with a mock tone.

Smirking, she responded in kind, revealing her clothes morphing into light before changing into her standard battle wear. Equipped with the shield, lasso and sword.

" I will be suppressing myself to your level so... don't let me stop you from taking the initiative. " I said, gesturing with my fingers for her to come on and start.

Immediately, she charged. Ready to strike to the left side with her sword, then immediately backing off and back into her position. Sweating for a bit.

" I thought you would be going at my level? Why the sudden change of heart? Afraid that I might best you in skill, perhaps? " She said, sweating a bit more.

'...'

Looking at her, I finally responded. " D, I never stopped holding back. The reason why you backed off initially, was because your body felt the difference in our 'techniques'. Nothing more. Any veteran warrior could tell that the strike I was going to return, would have been a fatal one ".

Eyes twitching for a moment, knowing that her bluff was called. She charged once more. This time she aimed low, clearly trying to take my mobility first. I dodged back, jumping into the air.

A calm expression graced her features, reminding me how truly gorgeous this woman is.

Focusing on the battle once more, I saw her attack coming before she even moved, based on her 'muscles', however small their movement may have been.

With her first swing missing, she aimed at my jugular with her second swing, trying her best to end the fight quickly, but I predicted this as well, and the other 124 moves she could think of, not accounting for the variations in adrenaline boosts.

I used both my hands grabbing the blade, slyly using her immense strength against her with a bit of Akido. I jumped away after countering her strike with a easy knee strike to her bracers. Knocking her away. But she recovered quickly, as expected.

The way I am now, her landing a move on me was impossible. My thought process and perception made me see the tiniest muscle movement, and judging what she would do perfectly. I even went one step further to feel how she breathed, blinked, etc. All of that information easily processed before me.

" So tell me Diana, is this fight fun so far? " I said, riling up her competitive spirit.
