"I supposed we should start of with names before we start this mission" mechamaru suggested monotonally, Panda nodded in agreement looking towards the others within the group expectantly.
"Fushiguro Megumi, 14 years old jujutsu tech first year" The black haired boy said stoically his eyes skimmed over his supposed teammates.
"Gojo Akito, 15 years old and same year as him." Akito stated pointing towards the boy who was seated next to him. Mai perked up upon hearing the boys name.
Gojo Akito, she recalled her father talk of him, calling him a failure as a Jujutsu sorcerer. She empathised with him naturally being related to the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer and having so many expectations just to amount to nothing would certainly cause a lot of unwanted attention.
She sighed recalling of her past vividly. "Mai Zenin, 16 years old, Kyoto Jujutsu High" She said with unusual calmness, her blue eyed friend quickly took notice.
"Momo Nishimiya, 18 years old, 3rd year" Nishimiya said not even trying to hide the distates in her voice. "and also... why the heck do we have to work with a bunch of kids with no experience!?"
Akitos eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance while Fushiguro payed no mind continuing to play the games he had installed on his phone. "and you two?" Akito inquired looking over towards Mechamaru ignoring Nishimiyas previous outburst.
"you bastard don't you Ignore me!" Nishimiya howled at the young Gojo.
"just call me Mechamaru, 16 years old, second year" Mechamaru stated ignoring Nishimiyas ever growing anger.
"why are you guys ignoring me!" Nishimiya hollered slamming her hands upon the table.
"Panda, 16 years old, second year" Panda continued taking a quick glance at the group before putting his hand to his chin. "i think it'd be better, if we reviewed what we're currently dealing with..." Panda said pulling out the mission summary.
Fushiguro lowered his phone his eyes quickly catching sight of the notes Panda had.
The mission was summary was as stated:
A series of disappearances have been occurring within the Kyoto ward of Tokyo, your job is to find, Neutralise, and exterminate the threat it poses to the general public.
Akito grabbed one of the sheets his eyes skimming through the words as his lips pursed, Fushiguro swore his friend's face grew pale as he read through the names.
"Tanaka... Haruki?" he murmured in a quiet voice, he rubbed his eyes before looking at the list of names and pictures once more. "do you know one of them?" Fushiguro blurted out.
"No, not at all" he replied quickly handing the sheet over towards Fushiguro whose eyes narrowed in suspicion as he did so, however this interaction didn't go unnoticed by the other group members who decided it wasn't their place to comment on this interaction.
"I think it'd be better if we were to split up into groups of two and search for any bit of info we can find" Panda suggested looking over at the other group members for validation. "it's not a bad idea" Nishimiya calmed down, her nerves finally relaxing as she took a glance over at her green haired friend seated beside her.
Mai on the other hand had no idea her friend had been watching her so closely as she stated over at Akito, his light blue eyes filled with clear worry so blatantly obvious to her.
She received a nudge from Nishimiya who could only grin smugly at her green haired friend. "what?" Mai asked curious at her friends shift in behaviour.
"it's nothing~" Momo said in such an unusual way that made even her best friend cringe.
"so what'll these groupings look like?" Akito inquired finally getting level headed for the mission.
Panda got up a sheet of paper holding it up towards the rest of the groups.
Team 1
Nishimiya and Fushiguro
Team 2
Gojo and Mai
Individual teams
Panda and Mechamaru
"a team is something comprised off two people or more. This joint mission is supposed to build our schools relationship, wouldn't this be... Counterintuitive?" Megumi chimed in.
Panda nervously sweated turning his head to avoid the lingering Stares of the other group members. "its never stated that we have to work together" Mechamaru quickly added. "but the reasons the groups been paired this way is due to the soon to be first years lack of experience"
"wait then why the hell do we have to watch them" Mai finally spoke up after being silent for the majority of the meeting. "you two need to build your communication skills with others, it's not wise of you to instantly assume the one your working with is beneath you" Mechamaru replied his heads crossed as his eyes met Mai then Nishimiya.
"it's also in case any of the first years end up getting hurt, you two will be there to support them" Mechamaru added to which Mai could only scoff.
000
I took notice of all the details that the pages of info we'd been giving held, but no matter how much I read my eyes always seemed to leer back towards Haruki.
I hadnt seen much of the group after the incident that took place during elementary had occured, it was something that had deeply scarred them and while Satoru-san had promised that they'd be giving the right support, I had wanted to personally be the ones to help and support them.
After all...
None of it would have happened if I wasn't there with them...
"Gojo-San, you've been staring at that paper pretty intently" Mai said attentively her facial expression stoic as she looked onwards.
"oh... Sorry" I said apologetically though she could only sigh at this. "I assume you know someone on there?" she inquired her dark green eyes locking with mine.
I didn't respond though she could clearly see the worry my eyes held and I didn't like that.
"we should ask around" I suggest turning the conversation away from Haruki, Mai stretched her arms outward before yawning. "I suppose we should."
