He was never a sentimental man. Since he grew up, he had rarely shed tears. So this was the first time he had shed tears because of a woman.
"Don't talk nonsense. I promise you'll be fine," he said, holding her hand tightly.
Timothy smiled at him.
He saw blood flow out of her broken lips, and then the doctor shouted at her, "Breathe in! Breathe in! Get ready!"
Timothy gritted her teeth and took a deep breath. Pablo lowered his head and kissed her face, muttering silently, "God bless you!"
A baby's cry finally sounded.
Pablo immediately looked at Timothy. Her eyes were still open and her face was covered in sweat. He kissed her dry lips. "It's okay. You'll be good."
She did not speak and only looked at him like that.
"Doctor!" Pablo panicked.
Startled by him, the doctor looked up and asked, "What happened?"
"What happened to her? Why can't she speak?" Pablo lowered his head nervously to feel her heartbeat.
Suddenly, he heard Timothy laugh.
