3 days passed since meeting Ian I found out later that the place we were inside was a greenhouse for plants and that the building we were living on was a cafe
In the 6th district you can divide it into two parts the upper level and the lower level the closer you get to the lost districts the less safe it is and the conditions worsen until you finally reach the slums where we are located but even in the slums their is still a difference in wealth
This cafe is located closer to the upper level so the area is a little bit more wealthy than I'm used to not everyone has rags on like I'm used to
Me and Ian defeated a few beasts in the past three days little tiny spider like creatures we just call them biters but each beast core goes for about 20 voum
"Hey come on we've got work to do didn't you say you wanted to become a slayer"Ian said as he slapped shins back
"Look who's talking don't you also want to become one"shin said
in the past three days he had learned more about Ian they were more alike than he thought they both were aiming to get into the SCF Ian pushed shin to try harder because both in body and ability Ian outmatched him by a little
" alright let's get started"Ian said while cracking his neck"
"I'm sure you already know but I won't be holding back"as Ian put his hands up covering his face
In the past few days when they woke up they did light sparring when the owners of the cafe left to go pick up Ingredients but between Ian in CQC (close quarters combat) training it was 5-1 Ian-shin
I never thought my fighting skills were poor until now Ian is able to easily overpower me he's faster than me as well my reflexes give me a slight advantage over him but even without his ability he could still beat me then you add in his ability and he beats me pretty easily
I was only able to get one win because he let his guard down I'm sure he won't be doing it again either
"Yeah if you held back it wouldn't be good training"shin said as they both began to move closer signaling that the match started
Ian quickly moved back in fourth shuffling with his feet as he did this he was surprised to see shin begin to do the same thing almost perfectly
"Not bad but an imitation is never better than the original"Ian said while quickly dashing towards shin making him lose focus
Shin quickly jumped back to the side while throwing a kick out which Ian grabbed them he began to pull his leg making shin wobble as he lost balance and fell but caught himself with his left arm
Shin kicked to get his leg free but Ian held on with two hands holding it tightly while shin was half way on the ground
Then Ian twisted his leg making his body flip over and fall hitting the ground with his back open he tried to get on top of shin
But he rolled over escaping Ian's mount as he tried to get himself up Ian grabbed his leg again taking him down and getting on top of him as he threw after punch at shins guard as his skin began to turn red and he kept his hands up holding onto dear life but suddenly Ian got up leaving him on the floor
"That's six to one"Ian said while breathing a little hard and sweat going down his face
The rules they had made was that if someone mounted for 10 seconds then that would count as a point
Shin quickly got up as his face was slightly bruised and he blew his noise at the ground with a little blood splattering on it
"Again"shin said using the same stance as Ian again readying his hands and moving side to side with his feet
Ian breathed in and out as a few pieces of trash flew around the rooftop Then he quickly dashed towards shin faster than the last time He was dumbfounded to find shin wasn't moving
Control it control as he began to focus his eyes completely forgot about all other surroundings the only thing left in his eyes was the boy and the fist coming towards him
In one second he quickly moved to the side barely dodging the fist as the wind around it made a slight cut on his cheek as it went past him
Shins whole entire body moved in one direction their was no wasted motions in his punch as he put his entire body weight into it as Ian looked to him
"Bang!!!! Crash"Ian had landed into a few trash cans to the side as blood dropped down from his face
"Are you alright?"shin called out with a worried look
"Yeah I'm fine that was a really good job I think you broke my tooth though"Ian said as he held his face it was completely swollen in a matter of seconds But he had a big smile on his face
"I think it's safe to say you win that one non ability round goes to me and the ability round goes to you six to two"Ian said while still holding his face
"Hey let's not go out to hunt today I can barely see out of my left eye but seriously I've never seen you move like that" he said in amazement
"Yeah I don't know either I just put my all into focusing I guess"shin said while scratching his head
How did I do that if I can replicate that maybe I have a shot at beating Ian again
Shin thought to himself That's my ticket that's my way to getting into the SCF
Ian sat to the side in deep thought how did he beat me so easily he was nothing like that before I'll have to see tomorrow if it was just a fluke or if he's already gotten stronger he thought while looking towards shin who was gripping his hand tightly with a face that showed how excited he was
