"It started with a deep Blue marble encrusted around a grain of sand in a vast empty void, revolving around that insignificant marble was two stars trailed closely by twin moons one for each star moving together then at some point one critical event happened, the path of ethar a power that gave us life, passed through the sun of Mar into the moon Nih and into our marble we now call Argis" an old droning man was reading loudly from a text book in front of a classroom of young and rather bored children.
"Why are we stuck in this class? How does learning something that possibly happened eons before anyone could even witness happen, help us learn how to ride Griffons or swing a blade --" "Cut it out Eion" a small but lean boy hissed at a red headed boy who was leaning back in his chair dazing out side of one of the classrooms many windows, "you know not all of us have families that read stories to them around the fireplace at night, you don't need to be so disrespectful" the small boy said.
"What ever Gray guess it's a good thing I'm not part of your program" sneered Eion plonking his arms on to his desk where he proceeded to draw squiggles on his books.
"Ignore him not all of us are born with a silver spoon shoved in our mouth" a short girl with dirty blonde hair and bright eyes Said "oh I plan too I'm glad I got put in the program its one of the only things really going for us orphans" Gray says back trying to remove the aggregation he built up. He was glad because here he was at Claw.
Claw Academy one of the few schools in the world not run or ruled by the kingdoms of Argis, Claw brought kids from around the upper sphere lands to teach the them how to live, survive and to ride just like their sister school of the breath in the lower sphere. Students of these Academies are known for becoming legends in their own way from fighters to Lords of their own lands even cases of heros been raised in their halls. Claw Academy the home to the Griffons.
Walking down the hall from history class Gray feels a tap on his shoulder "Hey there" Gray turning around spots three people one been the short girl who he leaned during class was named Sai, on her right was another girl with red hair, chubby cheeks and a shy expression on her face and on left a boy with blonde hair that was staring at a group of girls off to the side.
"Oh hey there Sai what's up? Who are your friends here?" Gray replies back "just seeing if you wanted to join us for lunch" pointing to the girl "this is Willow" then the boy "and this is Ray don't mind him is head is usually in the clouds" the red head girl gives a shy wave followed by the boy giving him a simple smile.
"Nice to meet you guys and sure I'm up for lunch what are they serving today anyway?" Gray responds "it's survival menu today so no one has a clue but I'm guessing Horned rabbit" Ray responds, hearing Ray Willow brightens up and calls back "No way they are to cute to eat but if it's survival day menu already I think it'll be something disgusting on purpose isn't it the academies job have us adapt to life as a rider" "tell that to the nobles who come here thinking it's ment to be their sole right to be here like come on been a rider is more then ball parties sneering at people" Ray replies.

Sitting at the tables of food hall was a loud affair with all the students fighting for the best tasting meal on the menu more so when it's survival day menu... The best way to describe it would be road kill like someone riding a caravan ran over it.
"So what did you manage to wrestle up guys" Gray says and he shuffles over to give Sai space to sit at there table "I got fried hopper salad" Sai replies "really? I got Lizard sticks with wild vegetables" Ray replies just as Willow sits on the other side of Ray "I can't believe it just my luck" Willow pouts as she pushes her plate forward on the table, Gray peers up and see a small stuffed roast..with a small horn poking out of it.
Gray snuffles a laugh but Sai couldn't "did you really jinx your self or what!?" Sai bursts out laughing Ray soon following suit nearly falling off the bench "hey Gray can we swap please I'm begging you, you seem to be the cooks favourite in the whole place just this once" Willow begs "sure but you own me one for it ok" Gray grins as he pushes is place across and gets the roast horned rabbit something he's actually fond of to be honest.
"How the heck did you even get away with seared fish and wild potato chips!? Out of everyone here your the only one with that Dish" Ray complains "Hey it's not my fault it still counts as wild food" Gray sheepishly says knowing full well his been bribing the cooks with some of the raw herbs and game he procures during his free time.
A nack Gray found about the place.. everyone can be bribed, the only thing you can't bribe someone for is grades, you can get more time got tests or more detailed instructions or lessons but never the answer or a better grade change. So here he is with a decent lunch because he bribed the kitchen hands with his findings, findings he is able to get because he bribed the ground keepers to ignore his late outings which funnily enough is done with the better and extra lunches he gets.
"So what class does everyone have next" someone from the group asks "don't we all pretty much have the same classes" Sai answers "no Willow has herbology and I have Alteration class" Gray replies "wait how do you know what classes we have?" Sai perks up "look at the back wall..." Gray replies dryly. At the back wall to the dinning Hall was a large board, on that board sorted by year, gender, name was each person's class schedule, open for everyone to see it was ment to encourage students to do more then others I guess.
The small group of kids were finishing lunch just as to loud rings occur, these rings were unusual because lunch had only just begun.
A tall student one of the upper years burst through the hall doors yelling "THE SKYS ON FIRE".
