Chapter 44 - Bonus Content: A Gods Best Friend.

The story Of Anui The first Hell Hound:

There once was a powerful God charged with guarding the graves of dead Gods. Many Gods have lost their lives during the war between Order and Chaos. These graves served as their permanent resting place. Normally a God can't truly die. They just go into a deep slumber before being reincarnated. During this time, the Elder Gods had made a pact with one another. That is the God who died in the war. Would stay dead. The Goddess made this pact in the hopes that when the war ended. The victor could revive all their fallen.

A graveyard was built to house the dead deities. So that they could not be reborn and rejoin the fight. A no-name God with no affinity to either Chaos and Order was in charge of guarding the graves. It was said that the no named guardian was so powerful that he even threatened the Elder Gods with his strength. But he did not agree with any side of the war and chose to stay neutral.

For centuries this God guarded the dead against graverobbers. Mostly rouge Gods who disagreed with the pact. Although this no-name being could easily protect the graves alone, he grew lonely and decided to get dogs to help him in his duty. One of these canines was Called Anui a Jackal. However, there were all types of breeds.

The dogs were charged with alerting Mr. no name of any intruders. For their service, the hounds were well feed and cared for. Time passed, and at first, all they did was help Mr No-Name by alerting him when a grave robber appeared. But over time, some of the hounds began to help their master fight back against the rogue gods and goddesses that trespassed. Even saving their masters life at one point.

Still, Mr No Name could not protect the Graves forever, and one day, he died. Instead of reincarnating and continuing his duty. The deity chose to stay dead and was buried in the same cemetery he once protected. When their master died, some of the hounds decided to go else were searching for a new master.

But three remained by their master side, guarding the tomes of the Gods long after their master perished. These three were the strongest among the guard dogs. Still, the hounds were no match for the rouge Gods, and soon the graveyard became empty of the dead, except for their masters.

Both the Goddess of Choas wished to revive the no-name deity during this time. So that he could guard the graveyard once again. The two elder Gods tried to convince the old tome protector to reconsider his retirement but were met by the three remaining hounds.

The dog fought their hardest but stood no chance against the two Goddesses. However, it didn't matter because the no-name God decided to stay dead and is said to still rest in the tome of the Gods to this day.

Seeing that they could not revive the old Guardian, the Elder Gods decided to enlist a new protector. Inspired by the hound's loyalty. Both the Goddess of Order and the Goddess of Chaos took one hound to serve as a guardian of their own gave yards. Graveyards, designed to house the enemies dead. Lea chose Anui from the three remaining hounds and named him the first hell hound. Lora chose Finir a dire wolf as her gaurdian. It is said that one remaining hound still guards the no-name gods grave. But the name and the race of the dog is unknown to all.
