"My name is Aldrin," he said softly, "Princess. The city is lost but the hope of our people has yet to subside... Our fight doesn't have to end here."
Aria looked up at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "You speak like a hero, but heroes die as easily as the rest of us."
"I don't dare claim I'm a hero. I am a mere son of a farmer. I came here to answer the troubles of the kingdom. My parents were awaiting my return. I cannot die here yet but I also won't abandon my duty." He replied firmly.
Aria looked surprised by his words. "What do you propose we do?"
Aldrin glanced around him. To the groaning soldiers, to the flickering of the torches and the moonlight shining upon them. "I believe it's not my place to tell you what to do. I am but a mere soldier. And Princess, young you may be, but your eyes showed the wisdom needed to change the tide of this battle. You just have to step up and voice it out to everyone, especially to His Majesty."
