Natasha was leaning with her back on his bedroom door. Brandon had her trapped between his muscular arms, again. She avoided looking in to his inviting eyes as he looked at her avoiding him. She could smell his perfume, especially with his first four buttons of his shirt now opened and his arms stretched out allowing the wind to freely blow past him to her. Why was there always too much tension between them?!
"Ms. Claire, do you know what you did today?" He asked sweetly. Natasha looked at him and nodded her head. Obviously she did not know for she was passed out cold. "You emptied your insides all over me when I was trying to help keep your temperature down. You'll pay for that Ms. Claire." He repeated. Then he watched Natasha's expression change several times, she was recalling the events in the bathroom. She suddenly looked at him and was deeply embarrassed.
"I…I…I don't remember." She quickly lied, avoiding his eyes. Her hands had fallen weekly on her hips.
"Ms. Claire."
"Brandon."
"Natasha. Are you lying to me?" Brandon asked smiling. He then took his hands away from the door and Natasha closed her eyes out of instincts. Then opened them after she felt nothing had happened. The man was taking his shirt off before her. Soon, his strong masculine chest and muscles were exposed. He was still looking at her and threw the shirt to the floor. Then he went on to unbuckle his belt. Natasha froze. She wanted to close her eyes but she could not. The man took of his belt and threw it next to the shirt, his eyes still focused on her. Then he slowly opened the button to his trouser, then the zip, exposing the V-shaped lined leading to…
Natasha suddenly snapped out of it and quickly turned, opened the door and ran out, as fast as she could, in to her room, and only stopped when she had covered her whole self with the duvet. Her heart was beating so fast and hard that she was sure it could be used to generate electricity. Brandon slightly chuckled to himself and proceeded to have a shower and dressed in his usual black t-shirt and sweatpants. Natasha could not take it anymore. She took out her phone and texted him. "Boss Bran, I am well now. I should be able to go back to my house tomorrow. Thank you for the help you have given me." The man had just finished dressing when he heard his phone notify him of a message. He read through it and smiled. "I can see that. But first, we have to do something before you go."
'Something? What something?' Natasha wondered. Did he mean… She suddenly felt rage and stormed out of her room straight to his. His door was still unlocked. It is as if he knew she would come back. She went in and stood before him. He was seated on the bed. 'Interesting.' He thought as soon as he saw her. "I am not some woman you can just easily hook up with. I have got my own principles!" She snapped at him. Brandon looked at her and smiled, then dialed his phone.
"Wats, are Ms. Claire's documents for the visit to DD City tomorrow ready? She is fit to go…Then ready the plane tomorrow by nine. We shall be having her for company." He said and hang up his phone. He then looked sweetly at her. "Ms. Claire?" He called out. 'So he was talking about our visit to the company land! How embarrassing!' She scolded herself then turned around and left. She suddenly turned back and went back. He had already got up from the bed and was planning to go out for supper, still smiling at her sweetly. He suddenly stopped when he saw her turnaround and walk towards him and he nobly pocketed his hands. She stopped before him and gave him a light kiss on his lips. The two people in the room were dumbfounded, especially her. She turned around again and wanted to leave. She was pulled back strongly and the man implanted a very strong and deep French kiss. At first, she struggled to free herself but calmed down when she could not escape. Then she was running out of breath. He still did not let her go and in fact, went deeper. He could feel all his senses come alive and could not find the energy to stop, until he noticed she was struggling to breath and let her go. She quickly gasped for air and looked sharply at the man who was smiling at her, licking his lips. "You are so annoying!" She shouted then ran out before he could do something else. But he did not, he just stood there, looking at the shut door before, lost in his feelings. She did her best to avoid him that night.
The alarm rang at seven in the morning but Natasha had been long awake by then. She did not sleep well as she had not sorted out her feelings towards what had happened the previous night. She had tossed and turned as though her bed was filled with safari ants. She got out from bed and went to the shower. Thirsty minutes later, she came out dressed in the same black robe and dressed up. She put on an orange off shoulder knee-length free dress, three inch black heels and a black purse. On her head, she let her fluffy hair fall on her shoulder as she covered it with a beach hat. She put on very little make up as the only thing on could notice was the brown lipstick on her small soft lips and the eyeliner which made her eyes seductive. The moment she opened her bedroom door, the man in the opposite room two doors apart also opened his. She hurriedly shut hers and leaned on it. She composed herself and heard him walk past her, waited a few seconds to be sure he was gone then quickly opened her door the door and stepped out.
"Are you avoiding me, Ms. Claire?" An enticing voice came from her left, towards the stairs. She dropped her purse in shock. She looked at him, leaning on the wall to his right. He was dressed in his all-black suit as usual, but no tie on.
"Mr. Joseph."
"Natasha."
"Brandon."
"Let us go down for breakfast." He smiled then turned and went down the stairs. She inhaled deeply to keep her breath in check but as she did so, she inhaled his perfume. She smiled.
At the Comfort apartment, Julie's phone rang loudly. She lazily put out her hand from between the cotton sheets and found her way to the bedside table, picked her phone and put her hands back in to the sheets. "Hello?" She answered full of sleep. "What? When? ... Okay, thank you." She hurriedly got out of bed and Samuel came rushing in.
"What is it? Julie? Are you okay?" Samuel asked concerned.
"Yes. Yes. I am okay. Get ready and book us a flight to DD City. It should be ready within the next hour." Julie ordered getting up from bed.
"What? Why? And besides, catching such a flight so urgently will see us pay more!" Samuel answered.
"Sam! Money has never been a problem to either of our families. Just do it!" She ordered as she got in to the bathroom. Samuel did not understand and just went on to do as demanded. Luckily, they found a flight to DD City but urgent clients had to pay double. He wondered what would make Julie decide something so fast. He went on to prepare himself. By quarter to nine, the couple rushed out and headed to the BB City Airport. At the first class section of the plane, the couple sat leisurely enjoying the glass of wine. Samuel looked at the woman, who surprisingly seemed happier than the previous night, and wondered what had happened to cheer her up all of a sudden in the morning.
"You can tell me now. What is this about?" Samuel asked impatiently.
"What is what about?" Julie asked while taking a sip of the glass of wine.
"Yesterday, you were so heartbroken. And today, you are excited. What is that about?" He pushed on. She ignored him and continued to sip her wine. Then he looked at her even more sharply. "It is him again, isn't it? He is flying to DD City and you found out and now we are following him?" She just smiled and looked out of the window. "Gosh Julie!" He snapped angrily. The whole flight, the two remained quiet; one pleased with herself and the other struggling to avoid regret. After an hour, the plane's wheel kissed the ground at DD City airport and came to a halt. The couple hailed a taxi and proceed to one of the best hotels in the City, the second best actually, The Star City Hotel, which Samuel had booked earlier while booking the tickets for the plane.
