Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Inversed hand

Tynofast felt tired, groggy even but his booting consciousness caught none of the pain he expected to wander alight him.

He couldn't feel his limbs. Very rarely though, he could make out the mass that was his body.

He couldn't tell how long time had passed here with only his thoughts to accompany him but every so long a soothing voice calmed his manic panic. So close yet so far from him.

He rapidly grew fond of it, soon that fondness evolved into addiction and covetousness. As time passed his conciousness came to the surface.

He struggled to move, feeling like a thick smog inhibited his being, like a weight compressed his chest pinning him in place.

But after aggressively struggling, he slowly regained the lost control. First the slightest feeling, then some control. Control enough to move a digit.

With a stifled rage he struggled but that surprisingly failed to help him now. As his struggles were waning it came again.

The voice! It was closer than it had ever been, almost teasingly. So close.

He exploded! Clawing for it. Fighting, fighting, fighting for breath then...he slipped out of the smog.

His eyes snapped open.

*Inhale*

*Exhale*

Tynofast breathed in deep breaths, lying still, reason being the gratification from freedom. More so, was the sensation of a soft hand firmly gliding over his back, to the side of his ridges.

His four incandescent eyes locked onto her brown hair, like warm earth with sun kissed roots. Green eyes like windows to a hidden forest sanctuary. Turning his neck Tynofast's eyes schooled her fairy like features in a mixture of fascination, yearning and hate.

As four gold orbs bore into her the crouched woman calmly looked down at him only her eyes moving. The corners of her full lips under her condescending nose awkwardly lifted almost like it hurt her face.

Even with the few humans he had seen, he was sure she was a peak specimen. Her person had even managed to enrapture a komodo dragon like him. Though, apart from the colors of her eyes and hair he was nary attracted to anything else.

But no matter what, he felt for this female human there was no denying his hate for her species. The hate that grew more visceral from the stink of Xenoneural Lab staff.

He wanted so badly to coil around her a feel her warmth, then rip into her neck to taste her warm blood. Though he wandered if it was truly warm blood running through her body...

The conflict disoriented Tynofast so much he failed to notice his growth or take note of his slight weariness. So as soon as a petite hand slowly reached for his

Snout, he recoiled in shock and hell over himself.

Ignoring his blunder he scampered away towards the edge of the room. Curling there threateningly he looked around in trepidation. There were no drones, no androids no cold eyed scientists, not other than the woman. She was frozen in her crouched position hand still outstretched and...shaking?

No she was breathing just like he had just a while ago. Was she scared? Why would she be scared of him? Why was he scared when he was terrified of her and the people she associated with.

Had they left her in here with him. Could he take revenge on one of those coldblooded betraying bastards. Slowly he gained confidence, getting out of the corner he stalked towards her.

Slowly purposefully. He wanted to see her feeling the fear and anger he felt when he was coerced, betrayed and left to die. Getting closer he licked his forked tongue out, tasting her fear.

Even though she had controlled her shaking the scent was unmistakable. Tynofast was just a dozen of steps away now she slowly raised her head and stared into his eyes. The next thing she did stopped him right in his tracks.

A pleasant humming came from her. His reptilian eyes contracted to pin pricks. That voice so far away now... so close. His dilated pupils slowly relaxed he continued lubering slowly no—gently towards her. His rough breathing cleared into inaudible breaths.

Very quickly he arrived infront of her. They held a stare for what had to have been a minute. By now, he was purring with lazy eyes.

Slowly, very gently, he closed the distance causing her to tense. Unhesitantly, he nudged her off balance. Promptly she produced an unlady like squeak, more surprised than anything else. Before she could get off her butt, Tynofast lumbered to her side and set his head onto her thighs.

She stared in silence till he nudged her again. It took her all of five seconds to take a guess. After she took a slow breath and began humming again. As she hummed his tail swung left and right like a branch shaking in the wind, after a minute she started stroking him.

After ten minutes had elapsed he was comfortably asleep and she stopped the humming but her hand still firmly brushed his scales.

As Tynofast slept in complete relief for the first time, a sequence was launched in his gene chain. Where his heart was supposed to be a new, mysterious organ took form. It was quickly finished and Tynofast was whole, just not...quite living. As if sensing the problem, his spine let rip an electrical buzz. Jolting his brain into reboot.

Signals went through his stagnant body into his chest, a signal was echoed back from his chest seemingly in communication with his brain. A final signal came from his brain, then his chest hummed.

It literally buzzed it changed frequencies till Tynofast's eyes quivered, the buzz was directed periodically through his new blood vessels to every part of his body. His blood flowed like it was living, baptizing every part of his body as it coursed through it.

There was a loop, it went back to Tynofast's mysterious organ and darkened in color. By the 24th cycle the change stopped, it had  transitioned into a dark red liquid. It was then Tynofast's eyes were shocked open. At first his stare was blanked but slowly his memories resurfaced along with massive information that seemed to have abruptly become natural knowledge to him.

His body had never felt so mysterious yet he never understood it better.
