BACHUÉ:
Where was I?
The last thing I remembered was having tea with Lady Julia. Then… the darkness… and then… I woke up in a desolate field, with thousands of lakes and below the surface, human figures.
I had already seen that place… I saw it when I was locked up in a cell in the Ortaez castle.
Was I dead?
"You're not dead," someone spoke to me.
I turned around and found Queen Catherine.
"Your Majesty…"
"You're not dead," she repeated, "not yet."
"How do you know?"
"Because I can see your body in your room. And I can hear what others say, including the doctor."
"Can you get out of here?"
"Yes, sometimes, sometimes no."
"Then… can I also leave this place?" I asked.
"I do not know that. I guess so."
For some reason, I felt no fear, no anger, no confusion. In that place, I felt at peace.
"How big is this site?" I asked.
