DAYMARA:
"You have to eat properly," the Queen Mother told Queen Antonete.
It was breakfast time. The queen mother Selena Esparza had ordered to serve nuts, cereals, and yogurt. According to her, that was the best meal to start the day of a pregnant woman.
Both monarchs were sharing a table on the balcony of Queen Antonete's chambers, surrounded by flowers and with a complete view of the capital.
I stood a few feet from both women, still as a statue, waiting to receive orders, whatever they needed from me.
"You have to eat well now that you carry the heir to Alba Terra in your womb," Selena said.
"I always eat well, Queen Mother," Queen Antonete stated.
"You do? Because it took you a long time to get pregnant and that's not normal."
Queen Antonete ignored that last comment and took a sip of yogurt.
"The child must grow up healthy and strong," commented Selena Esparza.
"And what if she is a girl?"
