Chapter 3 - Magical Mediums

"What about pens? I mean technically it's a customizable cylindrical item, you can write with it which creates new mediums for your magic to work and the focus can be different types of ink which will have different benefits." voiced out Hari, the new kid that just came to the practical magic application class this semester, and with that answer the entire class fell into silence at the idea "Hey Hari, can you explain what you mean by that?" asked Renya the A grade student in magic theory.

"Sure, the thing with those traditional magic focuses is that there's only so much diversity that they can reach with them, like with the book you need the knowledge to use it, with that staff you have to chant, and the wand can't do spells with lots of mana, paper slips will run out, and orbs are not customizable. But pens can be enchanted to never run out of ink, you can add runes on the pen which will allow the pen to take more mana, the tip is a very fine focus point, and the pen can write on almost any surface not including enchantments so you can basically use anything as a medium for drawn spells, the ink can also change which means you can have different focuses depending on ink type, like flame ink, wood ink, quick dry, e.c.t…" replied Hari.

"Oh… I never thought of it like that…" replied Zakaria, a potions major. "Huh, maybe you're onto something Hari… you should write a paper on this, you would probably get a lot of money and credit for it." said Renya, "Maybe I will-" remarked Hari, "You're really passionate about this aren't you Hari?" laughed Zakaria, "Haha-yup, I had a lot about thought because my sister and I used to argue about this-she was really indecisive when she had to choose her medium for school, so we argued about what she should choose-although, I don't know why she asked for my opinion when she just kept arguing with me." shrugged Hari. "Well you have quite a unique view on this Hari" drawled Yasmine, the teacher of the class, "Hehe, thanks sensei." rambled Hari.
