Chapter 4
"Where's the planner?", the whole room had a pin drop silent the only thing that could be heard were the words that just came from Darsh's mouth.
Even though secretary Lily just worked with him for around a year but she was pretty smart and fast learner so she didn't make mistakes in past and successfully gained the trust of her boss but this time because of Lisa she was in trouble.
Sir I called her and she said..... "Stop right there " before she could finish her words Darsh interrupted her.
"I don't need your explanation, what I need is a planner. I thought you know I hate people who're not punctual but you don't. This time he seemed more dissapointed then angry.
"I'm really sorry sir. This won't happen again. Just give me 20 minutes I'll get you a planner."
He sighed, "Fine I'm giving you 20 minutes and if I don't see the planner here then you know the rest."
She knew that there's nothing called a second chance in his dictionary. So she just thanked him and rushed to save her job.
Lisa was breathing heavily but she didn't stopped. She kept looking at the time while running. Suddenly she noticed that a car coming in a very high speed towards a lady. Lisa tried calling the lady but she was on a phone call so she didn't hear. Lisa used her entire energy and ran towards the lady. She pulled her from way of the car and saved her. If Lisa made a few seconds delay the car could have hit the lady.
Both the lady and Lisa fell on the ground. Lisa got few scratches on her elbow but the lady was safe. The lady got up. The lady was still in shock as everything was so quick that she couldn't understand what happened just now. Meanwhile Lisa got up and asked the lady if she is okay or not. The lady said she is fine and started thanking her and saw the scratch on Lisa's hand. She asked Lisa that she'll take her to hospital but as Lisa was in hurry so she just refused the offer and started running again. All this scene took 15 minutes and Lisa was still quite far from her destination.
"Thank you sir for coming here in such a short notice" As Secretary Lily had no others options she contacted with an another agency to organize the event.
Lisa knew she was already late but she still ran. Finally at 5:20 she was at her destination.
"The deal is yours" Darsh speaks.
"Excuse me Miss I have an appointment with Mr Darsh Miller can you tell me where can I meet him?"
Lisa asked the receptionist. "May I know your name?" "I'm Lisa Dalton from Sunshine Events". "I'm sorry Ma'am you had the appointment at 5o'clock but you didn't come so secretary Lily cancelled your appointment. "What! I know I'm late I'm really sorry for that something really unexpected happened and because of it I got late. Please let me meet
Mr Darsh it's really important" Lisa started panicking. "I'm sorry ma'am I can't help you with that. I was ordered to inform you this if you come and I did my job now I can't help you with anything and if want to ask anything you can directly ask Secretary Lily" receptionist replied to Lisa. "I'm doomed! what am I going to say to. Mr Will. He trusted me I broke his trust. I'll lose my job" Lisa was completely heartbroken, stressed. " Oh look there's Secretary Lily coming you can go talk to her." Receptionist asked Lisa.
Lisa ran towards Secretary Lily. "Secretary Lily I'm Lisa, you contacted Mr Will for an event I'm the planner he has sent. "Oh Miss Lisa you're finally here but it's of no use now you've already missed the opportunity the deal is gone now."
"I'm so sorry Miss Lily for being late I can explain-
Before Lisa could finish secretary Lily says "I don't want to know the reason miss Lisa, I risked my job for you I was almost going to lose it but still you got so late at last I had find someone else for the task. "but miss lily I was only 20 minutes late and that to because of something really really unexpected and important."
"It doesn't matter now I clearly mentioned in the details I sent to Mr Will that Mr Darsh hates delay in anything but still you're 20 minutes late"
Lisa was looking like as she was about to cry still she held her tears back and tried her best convincing Secretary Lily and at a moment secretary Lily also felt sympathy for Lisa but there was nothing in her hands so she just left from there.
Lisa couldn't stop her tears even though it wasn't really her fault she lost a really big opportunity, she broke Mr will's trust, She might lose her job now. She could think of nothing to put things back at there places. She left from there all heart broken.
