[ Zoe's POV ]
Fynn and I walked to the office in silence, for which I was grateful. If I spoke, he might realize how annoyed I was that Luca stayed behind with an excuse that he needed to talk with Zeiroi and Treva. There was no additional information required. It was all bullshit excuse for him to linger and see the so-called mermaid. I could sense how excited he was. My wolf, Diana, agreed with me. Bastard.
As we entered the office, Ash looked up from the computer screen and cocked an eyebrow questionably as his eyes moved from me to Fynn, and then he looked at Fynn's legs.
"You're getting the carpet wet."Â
Right. He just came out of the lake.
"What ruffled your feathers?" Ash asked.
"The commotion was because Fynn – "
"I was asking about you," Ash interrupted me.
