Her fear only intensified as he slowly approached her, her mind unable to form any thoughts as she struggled to move away and failed; when she first saw them, she had wondered why they didn't tie her up. They didn't need to, as she was too weak to do anything, helpless as the human reached her, kneeling down as he looked her up and down.
"I have never seen an elf before. You must be the one those vampires are looking for...but they only said to bring you to them alive. They never said we couldn't harm you, or have a little fun with you first."
Her eyes grew wide with fear and panic at his words, her nightmares coming to life as she weakly attempted to crawl away, the man laughing at her struggle. He grabbed her ankle, dragging her roughly back over to him. She felt tears begin to well up in her eyes as she tried to push him away, even the act of lifting her arms almost too much for her. She felt her magic beginning to stir, the air slightly vibrating, but it would do nothing without her willing it to, and she couldn't think at all, fear paralyzing her mind.
He easily pinned her arms down, leaning close and sneering at her as she turned her face away, wanting Jack to suddenly appear like he did the first time they met.
"No need for all that; you will enjoy it, and that is far more than you deserve."
He laughed again, licking her face and making her shudder in disgust. He then went about trying to tear her shirt off, his eyes terrifying, and as he climbed on top of her, she realized that no one would be coming to save her; they had no idea where she was, and she was on her own, at the mercy of this man and helpless to do anything.
She nearly gave up there, the drug making her to weak to fight and her fear making her unable to use magic, but she forced herself to stop, taking a deep breath as the man tore her shirt off and went to her pants. She was the princess of the elves, daughter to one of the most powerful beings in this land. The others told her multiple times how powerful she was, how terrifying her magic was, and here she was scared of one human.
Two things happened at once. First, because the man was on top of her, she felt something hard hit her hip, looking down and seeing that the man had a knife on his belt. She knew that she was too rattled to use any powerful magic, so that knife was her only chance, and she had to get it before he started taking his belt off. The second thing was her mind clearing for a single second, her body glowing golden as she was able to think of one command for her magic; get rid of the drug that was weakening her so much.
The man froze for a second as her body flashed with golden light, her strength suddenly returning to her. She glared at him, anger being added to her fear, and his hesitation proved to be fatal, as she quickly grabbed the knife, pulled it from his belt, and stabbed him in the gut.
The man gasped, looking down as his hot blood poured out of the wound and onto her hand and waist. Suddenly, all of her emotions of fear, pain, and anger exploded. She roared, taking the knife out and pushing him off of her. She quickly got up, climbed on top of him, and proceeded to stab him, over and over again, screaming and crying as she plunged the blade into the human, blood flying all over as she lost control of herself, the man only able to look on in surprise as she killed him.
She lost track of time, her mind going red, and when she finally came to her senses, she dropped the knife, covered in blood. The man was nothing but blood and gashes, his face unrecognizable, his blood pooling around him and soaking her legs. She panted, crying loudly as she got off of him and tried to get up, unable to and deciding to sit there and try to calm herself.
The door suddenly burst open, Elaine slowly looking over and feeling relief and joy wash over her as Jack walked through the door, eyes filled with rage as they glowed in the night. He saw her, his rage vanishing in an instant and being replaced with concern as he rushed over to her, falling to his knees and grabbing her shoulders.
"Elaine, are you alright? Dear gods, all this blood; where is the wound? I will take care of it, and..."
He noticed the body at last, looking back at her and gasping when he saw her shirt was ripped; she was covered in blood, so she wasn't surprised that he didn't see that at first. He quickly took his cloak off, not caring about the blood as he wrapped it around her, Elaine immediately feeling warm. She suddenly felt extremely tired, barley able to keep her eyes open as he cupped her face in his hands, looking into her eyes.
"I am sorry; I should have gotten here faster. Give me a moment; I need to take care of something real quick, then I will be back for you."
She nodded, wondering what he needed to do as he stood up and left. The sun was beginning to rise, the world slowly being filled with its warm light, and outside the building she was in, she watched as Jack threw a human on the ground. The human was beaten and bloody, but she recognized him as the man with the mustache that left earlier. That is how they found her, and Jack knelt down to the man, saying something that she couldn't hear. The man spit at him, cursing loudly, and Jack slowly stood up, wiping the spit off and raising his hand.
She saw his red eyes fill with a rage that almost made him look insane, and she watched as his black liquid slowly formed under the man. The human felt it, trying to get up with his eyes wide, but the black liquid grabbed him, pulling him back to the ground. The man was able to scream one time before the black liquid enveloped him, forcing its way down his throat and drowning him, the man struggling and kicking as he slowly died what looked like a painful death, having scratched at his throat so hard that he drew blood.
Jack returned the favor, spitting on the human's dead body, before walking back into the building. He knelt down, gently picking her up princess style and leaving the building. She closed her eyes, laying her head against his chest and falling asleep, too tired from her terrifying experience to do anything else.
