She took one last look at their little house, one that was located a few miles outside the city and they only got to spend a year in, before Jack teleported them as close to the east side of the country as he could, leaving the bodies there for someone else to deal with. They appeared in the middle of nowhere, seeing hills on either side of them with frost already collecting on the grass and plants, even though it was the beginning of Autumn. It was much colder in the east where the vampires lived, which made sense when you considered their weakness to the sun. The sun was not as powerful here, but the trade off was unbearable winters that could kill as easily as a sword or arrow.
