"You're not a hero... You're nothing more than just a monster..." Ellisa said to Kiseki,
Kiseki grinned for a moment before his expression turned evil. He then walked closer to her and strangled Ellisa on her neck,
"How dare you hit me in the face with your puny magical spell..."
Ellisa, you being an idiot right now. Taunting him like that will bring you nothing but trouble. Kiseki's hand gripped even tightly onto Ellisa's neck. She's desperately gasping for air as she is lifted above the ground. Her eyes never swayed away from Kiseki, though. She kept it locked onto him as her tears slowly washed down her cheeks,
"Hear my Command! Imprisonment!"
I held my chains to his hand, resulting in his grip to eventually let go of Ellisa. She fell almost instantaneously and began to breathe normally. Kiseki turned his menacing look towards me now and said,
"Oh ya... I guess leaving you all to live is my biggest mistake of all..."
The chains in his hand moved according to my movement, and I pulled it as low to the ground as possible to avoid him from using his power. Kiseki was immobilised, but it didn't seem like this could hold him there forever,
"Why don't you fight someone your own size," I taunted him,
He smirked at me and replied, "If you're saying I'm equal to you insects in terms of powers... You're dead wrong, old friend."
The chains that were holding him immediately disintegrated by the sheer force he let out. His strength is beyond human and much superior to my Karma. I have to come up with a new plan to even have the slightest chance to survive,
"If you're calling me an insect, then you're nothing more than just a turd for me," I taunted him again,
In a glimpse of an eye, Kiseki was no longer there. He was standing right beside me instead. Something felt wrong; my body shivered almost instantly from the cold sensation that I had. As I looked towards it, his sword was already halfway through into my chest. What a tremendous speed. The pain slowly rose as he twisted his blade sideways. My blood splattered across the floor when he thrust it even further.
I forced myself to drive away from him. If I don't, this will be the end for me and others. The sword was pulled out of my chest, and blood began to spew all over my clothes. Some of the black fluid from his artefact was attached to my wound. It acted like a saw when the liquid trying to tear open my chest even further,
"Freeze Form!" Luckily, my quick thinking was able to stop it from doing damage any further. I was able to close the wound temporarily by forming an ice casing onto it. The blob of black liquid too froze and crushed into dust particles,
"Did that scare you? Don't worry. Having you killed in one thrust is no fun for me. Let me enjoy this blissful moment to torture you slowly. So you'll regret talking big to someone mightier than you," Kiseki said to me as he licked my blood off from the tip of his blade,
"Ichijou-!" screamed Ellisa,
I held up my hand towards her and said, "Stay out of this, Ellisa... I'll be fine,"
Kiseki was amused by my will to fight. His cynical smile was written all over his face, and the laughter that came with it gradually got louder and louder,
"I guess this is the fight between two friends, huh. How wonderful! I'm excited to see the result of it! Hahahaha!"
With my artefact ready on my hand, I replied to him, "I beat you once, Kiseki. Kicking your ass one more time is like walking in the park!-"
"Oh really~." Kiseki pulled out his artefact as well and said, "If that's the case. I will show you what my true power is. Not to worry, I'll give you a handicap. I'm just going to use my sword in this battle. If you win, you'll live another day. If you lose, HAHAHAHA. Your head will be a fine trophy for me!-"
"Bring it on, asshole!" I shouted,
The fight is on; the battle between Kiseki and I rages like a volcanic rupture. He didn't seem to sway from all my hits nor struggling to fight me back. Kiseki's movement is over the roof right now. He wasn't as careless as before, and the set of attacks he dealt at me was never the same as how he fought with the Cyclops. Was the fight back then was just him playing around?!-
Besides, even when he's giving me a handicap, the wound he struck on my chest really put immense pressure on me. My movement isn't as fluid as it was. He has a better advantage against me. Over and over, the only place he tried to hit me was my wounds. I can't let him do this any longer,
"HAHAHAHA! Look how pathetic you are right now!- Stop defending yourself and fight me!-" He said as he clashes his sword against mine, "All bark but no bite! You just a piece of trash ready to be thrown away by me!"
The last swing he dealt at my sword was outstanding. It was able to leave a crack on the tip of my blade with his strength.
I parried away that attack and swiftly made some distance from him. He didn't seem to be having any weaknesses! He's invincible to my attack. What's wrong with me right now? My legs were shaking, and my hand didn't seem to be able to hold my sword uptight. I'm scared. This was my first time being this scared in a fight!
He taunted me by posing his finger back and forth towards me, "Come dance with me, little lamb."
"Stop acting big about yourself!- AAARGH!" I dashed towards him without thinking.
Shit!- I let my anger taking over me! That was a stupid move to do. I was actually fallen for Kiseki's trick. He will make his move now,
"Fallen Hero Stance: Pulverise!" He shouted,
Kiseki held his sword with both of his hands. A daunting atmosphere was gushing out from him like a tsunami. His blade was glowing bloody red with a hint of black essence along the tip. I can't dodge myself out of this situation; it's too late!
"Die, Ichijou..."
When he struck his sword sideways, a spine-chilling shockwave together with a screeching noise was released at high speed towards me. I held my sword perpendicular to that attack attempting to defend myself from the fatal blow. As the shockwave impacted, it let out a despicable blinding light which prevented me from seeing what had happened,
A moment later, I fell down to my knees. Weird, I couldn't breathe, nor can I feel my legs right now. What just happened? When I looked down at my artefact, the blade was snapped in half. My whole body was about to give up on me. I tried supporting my stance by holding the sword against the ground.
Now I get what had happened. Upon moving my sight lower to my torso, I realised that my stomach was cut open perpendicularly. It was a massive open wound going across my stomach straight to my waist. I guess this is my defeat.
There's not a hint of strength left for me to move my body around. I tried gazing towards Ellisa. My vision gradually got blurrier as time passed. I'm sorry, Ellisa. I failed to defeat Kiseki this time. He's on a whole new level right now.
E... Ellisa... Get out of here... Save yourself..." I muttered to her weakly,
She didn't respond to what I just said. Ellisa froze in place from the shock that she had after witnessing what had happened. She didn't stop crying too,
'AHAHAHA! Look like this is my win, Ichijou. I will gladly take your head off right now. Don't worry; I'll make sure you feel the hellish pain as long as you're still conscious!" said Kiseki as he briefly walked towards me,
Eventually, he rested the tip of his artefact against my neck. I can feel the pulsing came from the black blob that eagerly wanted to devour me. My head stuttered as I tried to look him right in his eyes. He had this disgusting look on his face. I hate it.
What kind of power have you let yourself succumb to, Kiseki. This is not like you at all. I wish there's hope left to save you from those unsightly power. But I'm too tired to even move a finger,
"Any last word, old friend?" He asked me,
I slowly replied to him, "Fuck you..."
He giggled and responded, "Farewell,"
My eyes were closed afterwards. I don't want to witness myself being killed by my own friend. But then,
"Stop it..." Ellisa stood up in between us,
She had her arms open wide to prevent Kiseki from doing anything to me.
Kiseki looked pissed. He backslapped Ellisa's face and said, "Move away. It's not your turn yet."
She kept her stance tight to the ground. She then told Kiseki again, "Stop it... Don't hurt your friend anymore... We agreed to go on an adventure together, right, Kiseki. Just the three of us... We wanted to find the truth about this world... I was hyped up about all of that before... Please... Stop this Nonsense... Get yourself together... If it's true, you're being possessed by whatever power you've taken... Then I'm sure you're still in there somewhere... You won't give up easily on us, right?..."
"Are you done? If you wanna die first. Then I'll make your wish come true!-" Kiseki replied,
As he was about to slice his sword across Ellisa's neck, she hugged him and shouted, "COME BACK TO YOUR SENSE, PLEASE! KISEKI!"
Kiseki's POV
"Darling, look! Our baby first word was mama. He called me, mama!"
"Our child has grown so fast! Hey little guy, how bout calling me too. Say, pa-pa."
"Dear, Kiseki is crying in his creed right now. Can you please check on him?"
"Wait- NO! Don't do this!-"
Whenever I close my eyes, these two couples always pop up in my vision. So these people might be my parents. They look awfully happy in this life, but what was that last event was about? Who cares... I guess this was what my other self meant about showing me the truth about my parents... about how they died.
Somehow, I felt like I'm still wasn't ready to find the truth about them. I'm started to speculate whether the offer I made with my other self was really worth it for just this piece of information? Maybe. Maybe not.
"Ah- how long have I been here?" I asked myself,
By the looks of it, my body is slowly fading away in this place. I guess my existence is not needed anymore. Well, whatever. Maybe I'm not even meant to live anyways. I don't even remember what I was doing in my life before. Even how hard I tried to remember, everything eventually getting vague in my head. Misaki, who was that? Ichijou, I never heard that name before. Ellisa... That sure sounded familiar.
Maybe if I look at what my other self is doing in real life right now, I could just waste this waiting time to disappear. Meanwhile, the memory about my parents. I probably pass it for now. What's past stay past, I guess.
He seems to be doing a great job fighting against those monsters. I doubt if that was me, I would manage to move around like he did.
"One, two, three, four... Wow, he did an excellent job irradicating those monsters." I muttered,
"Do you like what you're seeing? This is what your true potential is. Only I can unlock it." He said to me,
"Wait, how did you still able to talk to me while you're controlling the body," I asked,
The shadowy figure of myself reimbursed right in front of me in a split second, then he whispered to me, "Naive as always. Do you ever feel like you heard a voice in your heart telling you what to do and what not to? It works the same way as what happened right now. Besides, although I'm moving your body out there right now, it wasn't fully controllable yet. As long as you still here,"
"So, does that mean I can decline the offer we just made before?" I asked him,
He started giggling wickedly and responded, "No, of course not, you fool. You agreed to switch places with me. You can't take it back whenever you like~."
"I guess you're right..." I replied,
"Now just sit tight and enjoy the show, will you? You'll disappear soon before you can say, Bingo," He said to me and swiftly dispersed in thin air,
It's not time to regret my choice now, I think. If this is for the good of everyone, I'll gladly accept with an open arm.
I kept staring through the vision he showed to me. He was amazing. In just a few minutes, he already destroyed five of those Cyclops. As of now, he's defending himself against the last three that's left.
My other self suddenly changed his views. He was looking down to the ground right now, where there were a few people in his crossfire. That's dangerous, he should be more careful in dealing with these three, so those guys can run away from the scene.
Suddenly, he did something unexpected, "Let's make it rain... BLIZZARD,"
"Huh? Hey, won't those people get killed too if you use that skill?" I asked,
He replied to me calmly, "Nonsense. I have plan everything perfectly. They'll never get harm from my attack. Stop worrying."
I didn't respond to what he said. I just trusted him blatantly. But that was a big mistake. When he went on with the move and his attack was scattered all over the city. It was the devastation that I'd never seen before. One of his light particles hit on the shield that those people on the ground were casting. It penetrated almost immediately upon impact and struck one of the guys.
"H-Hey! Watch out! You said that your attacks won't get to those people!" I shouted,
His voice was threatening when he replied to me, "Keep your mouth shut. In this type of situation, there'll bound to be some casualties,"
"That's wasn't the case! I saw the way you fight!- You could've easily avoided this from happening!" I yelled,
"What can you even do right now, huh?! Just sit there quietly and let me do my job!-"
When the attack ended, the city was no longer looked the same way as it was. Death scattered throughout the streets and what was left was rubbles and destruction from the aftermath. He swiftly went to those groups of people and landed in the middle,
"Look, the guy who got struck by my attack is still alive. So stay the fuck calm," He told me,
I don't like how he's acting right now. I should have thought about this a little bit longer and learned about his agenda before agreeing to his offer.
Among those people, the guy who stands out the most was a person named, Ichijou. He looked pissed with what just happened. Most importantly, why is he talking to me like he knows who I am?
Things escalated quickly when Ichijou suddenly pulled out his sword towards me. He hated me so much for something I didn't do. It didn't end there, though. Another person stood up to my other self and shot him right to his head. That's definitely painful.
It's a girl, and she's crying. The looks she was giving to me was no other than disappointment and agony. My other self was pretty pissed with that person. He quickly grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up. I was shocked and at the same time furious with how he's behaving right now,
"Hey! Put her down! It's your own fault for getting them into your fight!-"
"For someone who's about to disappear from their existence. You sure talk too much," my shadowy figure yelled at me,
"Just leave them alone!- You've done your part! Now leave this place!" I said,
He began to laugh maniacally and responded, "HAHAHAHA, these peasants need to know where they belong first before I can leave,"
Things turned much worst afterwards. My other self began to fight against Ichijou, and that guy couldn't stand a chance with him. Stop this immediately, stranger! You'll die if you keep on fighting!-
After that prolonged fight, the winner finally came up to the top. Of course, my other self won. He almost killed that guy spontaneously,
"That's enough! You're going overboard with all this! Give me back my body! If I knew all you going to do was murdering and killing spree other monsters and people, I would have declined your offer!-" I shouted angrily,
He suddenly appeared right in front of me once again. He kept pushing me to the back and said, "You're a worthless piece of shit! You're no different with your friends here! You can't even do a single thing I asked you to! Just sit here quietly and begone!"
"My friend? These two are my friend?" I was scratching my head, trying desperately to remind myself about the two of them.
When he was about to put a sword into Ichijou's head, the girl stood up in front of him and said,
"Stop it... Don't hurt your friend anymore... We agreed to go on an adventure together, right, Kiseki. Just the three of us... We wanted to find the truth about this world... I was hyped up about all of that before... Please... Stop this Nonsense... Get yourself together... If it's true, you're being possessed by whatever power you've taken... Then I'm sure you're still in there somewhere... You won't give up easily on us, right?..."
I finally remembered. Ellisa. This girl is Ellisa. My good friend and the person who saved me from Trelmir and Cyclops!
She then yelled to me, "COME BACK TO YOUR SENSE, PLEASE! KISEKI!"
All the memories that I had flashed upon me. The life I had on earth as well as in Ruina. How everything began and how I got to this moment in the first place. I was seeking for Sinner's System to assist me, not to take over me,
I need to do something! Anything just anything that I can to stop him, "You asshole! Stop what you're doing!-"
The crest that I had on my chest began to glow brilliantly. Lucifer told me this would suppress the power of my Sinner. I need to learn how to control this and not let him take over my body! Then I understand something,
"You're nothing more than just the evil part of myself. I am the highest being of you! The owner of your personalities! That means you need to comply with everything I say. Now stop at once!"
He was trying to stab Ellisa from the back when she hugged him, but he began to lose control of the body.
"You imbecile! What did you just do to me! Why can't I move!-" He yelled at me,
I stood up and said to him, "This body was never meant for you in the first place. Now rest well, my dear self. I will take over from this point onward. I do not need your aid any longer,"
He was screaming like a lunatic in front of Ellisa. He tried to push her away as forceful as possible, but it was fruitless. Eventually, I was no longer in my mind and back in real life. I completely regain my whole body and consciousness. Before my other personality dispersed himself, he said to me,
"Just wait! I will get back what I deserve! Sooner or later, you'll be needing the power that only I possessed! You can never run from your fate of being a Sinner!"
Afterwards, it was complete silence. Ellisa was still holding tight to me. All I can do for now is just return her warming hug.
"I'm sorry, Ellisa... For putting you and the others in danger... From my own self..." I gently whispered to her,
She was trembling and still crying over me. Ellisa then replied, "You finally came to your sense... Thank god..."
