Before they exited the room Eric placed the bear on its right spot and made sure to face it backward so the pair could not notice the torn eyes.
"What do we need to find the corpse?"
Eric looked at her, eyes wide open. "But if we open the floorboards, it will start to reek. The Ferrier will not let us leave peacefully."
"What if the cops don't search it? we can blatantly tell them that the ghost said it's underneath, can we?"
Eric frowned deeply. Yuna had a point there. They couldn't say that out loud or else they would be considered a suspect in the investigation. The cops would never believe their ghost stories, so it will only get harder to deal with. Plus, they were in Demark not in China. They did not have the power of the powerful wang family here.
We just have to deal with this in a subtle way.
"Maybe we can have the ghost pretend to be sane and inform the cops."
