Eric had to climb back down the tree. Climbing a tree was not that hard, but clinging down in the dark was quite hard. he almost slipped at two spots. But he held on. He carefully climbed down, making sure not to trample on the corpse under the tree. "Ghost boy, you just stay here. I'll come back in a minute."
The ghost boy looked genuinely confused by this. he looked at the wall and then at Eric.
Eric just gestured for him to stay here and ran into the house.
The barriers he had broken had disappeared. He did not have to use his dagger to get back in.
By now it was highly possible that the monk had been aware of his barrier being broken, so he carefully tred into the house. Nearing his room, he froze. There was a weird feeling of being watched from the other corner.
He glanced back and to all sides. He was not able to find anything suspicious or anything out of place.
