Zhu Kang pretended to be asleep for a very long time. Altren refused the leave the room and Aaron refused to let him out of his arm.
It was a fucking situation alright.
The system which was happily answering gave him a notification that the automated system can only operate for a few hours. It literally shut down on him while they were having a conversation.
'How rude is that? Automated systems suck.'
Automated systems. They are like backup systems. They are just a string of programs complied to assist the hosts. But the problem was they were too outdated, they only have standard answers for questions. And shut down when its main program gets overwhelmed.
Overall, they are dumb.

"You creepy guy, were you checking him out?"
"No, checking to see if my life is still with me. Why is this guy have such a tight hold on me.... I think there's a bruise forming on his waist from his squeezing.." he mumbled softly.
Altren leaned over and lifted his uncle's arms.
Aaron instinctively fought him off and hugged his waist once again.
Knag gave up. "Leave it be. He's like an octopus." He peered at Altren, who had a weird expression on his face. 'Change of topic is much necessary...'
"so.. why did Eryst do that?"
"You're too old.." he bluntly said.
"huh? What?"
"you're too old to awaken your powers. Last time, a spy crept in. it's to prevent that. But Eryst went too far. She tried to harm you. The other top seven supers of the board will judge her once they have caught her," he said, reaching out to the apples on the table. "Apple?"
"Yes, please. My tummy feels empty,'
Altren's face lit up. "I knew you would like apples. I'll make cute rabbits for you," he excitedly cut the pieces.
"So what kind of punishment will they subject her to?"
"Mostly demotion. Nothing much. You are considered insignificant to the merits she had done. So they will excuse her easily. It ticks me off." He roughly chopped the apple.
"Jeez, calm down with that knife. You'll cut yourself." he reached out and took a piece from the plate. "What kind of merit?"
"She has captured hundreds of villains because she literally hates them to the core. Taken down a ton of criminal organizations on her own. She's kind of awesome if you ignore the bitchy part."
Kang started to sweat visibly. 'Fuck… what kind of shit did I step on? This girl looks like she has a grudge against villains. When she finds out about me….oh, I'm so screwed.'
"Don't worry uncle and I won't let her hurt you," he assured him confidently.
'Yeah, that's until you find out about my identity and try to kill me yourself,' he blinked innocently. 'Well, at least I can try to get on their good side. Some good feelings will help spare my life.'
He took another apple and chewed on it. The sweet juice and crunchy texture made him almost moan out loud. "This stuff is good! Where did you get it? is it some imprinted shit? It's darn good..,"
"Grown in our own orchard. We have fields in the academy with a fruit orchard. You can find any type of fruit irrespective of climate. One of the supers here is plant-based ability holder. He takes care of them. You really can't get this taste in supermarket ones,"
"True," he devoured the apples.
He got comfortable yon Aaron's arms and happily chewed on them.
"Aren't you uncomfortable? I heard from uncle that you don't have anything going on.." Altren glanced at the ground slightly.
"Umm why should I be? I don't have any bad intentions towards him and he's keeping me warm. Like a portable hand warmer. Wait, why do you ask that? Does he have feelings for me?"
Altren looked up at him with his eyes wide open. "n-no.. he does not… you better not develop any feelings either,"
"ay why would I want to have a relationship with him? Ain't being heroes' girlfriend like sighing your own death certificate. Can't risk my life like that…'
"No! Being a superhero's girlfriend or boyfriend is amazing.. you.. you get to see a different side of this world…"
Kang was skeptical of his claims. "Yeah? What is that?"

"dude, we are the same age. What the hell is this discrimination? Just spit it out. I can handle anything," he bit into an apple, curiously gazing at him.
"When two supers.. Do things… they… they feel more connected… its.."
"Do what? go out and capture some villain together?"

Kang choked loudly. Chocking he spat out the piece of apple. "What.."
"yeah, it's because supers can't have sex with normal humans. When it's with a supers it's very intense. Sometimes it can go on for a few days,"
Kang silently put a distance from Aaron keeping his arms folded in between them. "t-then… what about when a super and a human sleep together? Won't the human like die out of exhaustion?"
Altren chuckled. "Humans can't do it with supers. Super can have sex with other supers only. Sex with humans is akin to murder. Because the humans always die.."
Kang's barn went into overdrive. "Wait then…"
Jake and Altren had so much sex when he was manning the host system. Then that means…
'Jake is a super! What the heck is this revelation?'
'Should I tell him? no, it will only bring them both together. What if curious Altren goes and sleeps with Jake? Then it will be the end of the world as we know it…'
Altren pinched his nose softly. "Don't get too shocked. Supers don't like having relationship even with other supers."
"Why, but you said they can't sleep with others,"

Kang silently peered at him. Altren looked so serious when he whispered that.
"You like my brother. Isn't it impossible, love?"
Altren just smiled sadly. "I know it's impossible. That's why I just want to be close to him…. I don't want a relationship… I can't have a relationship with him….."
This piqued his curiosity. Why did mister Altren fall for his brother?
