Aaron watched as Zhu Kang froze there like a child with his hand stuck in a jar. 'What is he....' he peered at the vault behind him. There was definitely a huge hole in it and he was reaching in.
"What the hell are you waiting for?! Shoot!" a man in a tacky Mohawk shouted from behind. He was carrying a little child in his arms tightly hugged close.
'Two hostages.... I have to act fast. All their guns are automated and those bullets can definitely hurt me or the hostages if I misstep a bit. My powers are still not under control, if let go, I will definitely kill these men. I have to fight old-style,' he calculated in his mind.
Few bullets flew his way. Aaron simply peered at them. The heat from his laser vision blasted them all mid-air. Leaving only metal husks flying his way.
"Let go of the innocent people." He said moving closer and closer to the man who seemed to be the leader of the gang.
"don't come close! I will twist this kid's neck like a doll! I swear I will.." he shouted stepping back closer to Kang.
With each step closer he got to Kang his heart started to beat even faster.
'shit, if I go for Kang the kid will get hurt. if I get the kid, he will definitely hurt Kang!' he silently peered at the young man who looked like a deer in headlights. 'He looks like he is in shock. I have to do something fast.'
Zhu Kang was definitely in shock. His heart was beating a mile per second. He pulled back the hand stuck in the vault and looked at Aaron, waiting for him to call him out.
"What are you doing? Break open that! I'll deal with this guy!" the villain guy said gripping the kid's neck tightly. "Hey you can't do anything with this child with me, huh? Aren't you a hero? Aren't heroes supposed to protect the weak? If you want this child alive, you better give us way,"
"Don't," Aaron said with a threatening glare.
Zhu Kang was stuck in a dilemma now. There is no denying it. Aaron definitely knew that he was a collaboration with this bad guy. He would get caught if he didn't run and hide now.
But... an innocent child's life might be at risk if he ran and hid.
'I at least need to save that kid...' he turned back and started smashing the vault door. Punch after punch after punch, the door gave way, forming a huge hold in it. He could easily crawl in and hide in it.
'Good, now the next step of the plan.'
Aaron peering blue eyes pieces at him as he glanced out. "Don't," he said in a gruff tone once again.
'I know! I know Aaron. But I can't help it. What do expect me to do? I'm a fucking villain!'
He silently moved behind the bad man and smacked him hard on his neck. The man looked back in shock and collapsed.
He swiftly grabbed the kid and ran to the vault. He crawled in, hiding in the corner.
So many bullets flew in, hitting the walls and the ceiling of the vault.
He tightly hugged the kid in his embrace, protecting him from all.
Silent tears started to roll down his cheeks. It was part fear and part regret. He regretted coming here. He regretted not asking Gwyn for help. He regretted even being associated with those superheroes.
Now.....
'I will definitely be sent to a special prison. I heard it had glass prisons and only feeds the prisoners gruel! ahhh I hate this. I hate this so much...' silently he sobbed, hugging the kid.
'no freedom, I won't even get the chance to see the sky after that. It's a lifetime prison. My brother... he will definitely do something rash and try to break me out. In turn, he will get hurt. It's all my fault...'
A small hand gently wiped away his tears. "b-brother... don't cry.... hero will save us,"
'hero will save you kid, he will just take me to prison,' he let out a loud unrestrained sob.
"it's okay... hero will save us.." the kid repeated, handing out a lollipop to him. "don't cry... don't be scared...' he said whilst crying himself.
Zhu Kang wiped his cheeks clean. "You are brave, aren't you? but I'm not. I'm scared. I'm scared of what will happen after this. I'm scared to death.." he said sniffing slightly.
"you don't have to be.." Aaron jumped in.
Zhu Kang stiffened up visibly. "look... I.. I didn't.. I..."
"shh..you did good, Kang. You did good." suddenly he squatted down and embraced both of them in his arms. "It's okay. Don't be scared. I'm here for you. I won't let any of those villains use you or hurt you..."
"Huh?" Zhu Kang looked at him, fully confused.
"It's okay." He gently caressed his cheeks. "It's okay Kang. I will protect you."
'Excuse me; I think the script was changed. What are you talking about, mister superhero? Aren't you supposed to cuff my arm and drag me out?'
Contrary to that, Aaron gently lifted him up in his arms and carried him out of the vault. He even pulled his cape over his head, hiding his identity from the public.
"You are safe..." he kept whispering.
The kid in his arms smiled widely. "I told you we will be saved. Thank you so much, hero!"
"huh...."
Aaron let down the kid but still held onto him tightly.
"um... can you let me..." Zhu Kang wiggled around hoping that Aaron Zain will let him down.
"no, we need to be somewhere else," he said softly.
Zhu Kang froze. 'I knew it! I fucking knew it! he is taking me to prison! Bye-bye, my beautiful world..... I will miss my normal clothes, too. I don't look good in stripes ahhhhh.....' he started crying earnestly.
