Eric carefully piped the batter in perfect circles on a well-oiled parchment sheet. He then taped the baking tray slightly to remove all the air bubbles. Placing it in a corner he went back to the batch he had pipped half an hour ago. The macaroons had developed a small film over their tops
"Sha, this batch is well rested. can you pop the in the oven?"
"Got it," Sha took the baking tray and placed them in the well-heated oven. "Is the buttercream done?"
"I'm on it," Eric rolled up his sleeves and started to make the strawberry-flavored filling for the macaroons. He had done it so many times in his life that making it was so easy. He simply scooped it into a piping bag. "What about the walnut cake? Are they decorated yet?"
"I have added icing to them. Now, all we have to do is get the boba cooked up."
Right then his phone rang loudly, disturbing their conversation.
Eric pulled it out of his pocket. "Hello?"
