Chapter 50 - #??? Tsuyu's confusion.

***

What if Harry asked Tsuyu to raise a Basilisk with him? Well this chapter will answer that question!

"Tsu, can I have a word with you?" Harry asked hesitantly.

Asui looked at Potter with wide eyes. She had never seen her classmate... like that. He usually seemed like a wall to her, with his Quirk and cold attitude towards most of their classmates he was quite unapproachable.

"Sure."

So she agreed, at least to find out what might have made him so nervous.

"He's been looking at me a lot lately, even during lessons. Is this a love confession? Clearly not. Most likely he was judging whether I was worth his time.'

They walked into one of the empty classrooms together and Harry sighed heavily before he asked with a very serious face.

"Will you raise a Basilisk with me?"

Tsuyu just stared at Harry without even trying to blink.

"... Ribbit?"

"I know it sounds strange, the only thing I lack in my Basilisks' team is the Tank and the Wizard. For the Tank I have already found a suitable option, but only you can help me with the Wizard."

"Okay, but what do I have to do?" The girl tilted her head.

"... an egg." He mumbled.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that."

"You'll have to hatch an egg."

Tsuyu finally blinked.

"Put this in an incubator and wait until it hatches?"

Potter glared hatefully at the black snake, which this time wrapped around his fingers, and sighed again.

"... Not really. You see, in order to raise a Basilisk, one has to make a frog hatch a chicken egg and recite a mantra daily in Parceltouge, the language of snakes."

Tsuyu's mouth resembled an 'O' shape when Harry finished speaking.

"And I am the frog you chose."

"Yes."

For a couple of minutes, two teenagers just stood in silence and both looked at the floor with red faces.

"What exactly do you mean by hatch?" Tsuyu finally asked.

"I mean keep it warm for about a month with your body heat."

"This is too weird."

"Tell me about it..."
