Harry entered the Orphanage still wrapped in bandages. His long clothes hid them quite well, but the very presence of something on the teenager's body irritated him. Before he could even take a step, a human rocket named Karin flew into his stomach, sending a wave of pain through his body.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
The girl sobbed and squeezed her arms around the teenager's waist.
"Azumi said... That you were hurt... You didn't get hurt that bad, did you?"
Harry lifted Karin into his arms, trying not to show his pain on his face and smiled.
"It doesn't hurt at all! It's just a couple of bruises and that's it, Recovery Girl has already patched me up. So now I'm even better!"
Karin looked at Harry's smile doubtfully and Harry felt that his soul was being judged right now. Cold sweat ran down his spine.
"Karin! Come here, I need your help!"
The staring game was interrupted by the voice of one of the workers and the girl jumped to the floor from Harry's hands.
"If you lied, I'll be very upset!"
Karin said seriously and ran to the kitchen. Harry could only breathe a sigh of relief.
"You know you're fucked when she finds out the truth, right?" Kars asked from the doorway.
"Yeah."
The teenager didn't even get annoyed, Kars' week of nightmares was still in development. And no matter what, he was right. He's fucked.
Harry went into his room and locked the door. He undressed and slowly removed the bandages. The wounds on his body have already healed and only scars were remaining in their places. The teen looked at himself in the mirror and stopped using Envy.
The tattoos appeared on Harry's body exactly where he expected. He considered his reflection for a long time, but could not find a new symbol of Ouroboros, which should appear after the absorption of the Philosopher's Stone.
And then he remembered the fight with the fat Villain. Harry opened his mouth and of course the faithful tattoo of the Ouroboros was visible on his tongue. Satisfied with his find, the teenager again used Envy and all scars disappeared from his body.
"Croak."
Harry turned towards the terrarium and was pleased with what he saw. Apparently Karin decided to take care of his frogs when he was in the hospital. Both frogs sat on their chicken eggs and rested. Now there were not only their nests inside, but also several small plants. The girl did a very good job.
"They should hatch in three weeks... I just hope they don't kill me at first sight."
---
Harry got off the train and was nearly knocked off his feet by a guy with a strange hat.
"Sorry!"
The man bowed quickly and walked away with a quick step. The teenager did not even have time to respond and could only frown.
"I hate crowds like that..."
Harry slung his bag over his shoulder and started running toward the school. He's late again and this time Aizawa could get ahead of him. In the class, everyone was already sitting in their seats and were surprised at the appearance of their last classmate.
"Potter! Welcome back, sit down quickly, homeroom is about to begin!"
Ida waved like a robot in the direction of the only empty seat.
"Hey, good to see you all."
Harry nodded and sat down. A second later, the door to the classroom opened again and Aizawa walked in, still fully bandaged. The teenager looked at his tired teacher with understanding in his eyes.
"Morning"
"You're back already, Aizawa sensei?!"
Eraser head staggered over to his desk and leaned against it, ignoring Ida's words.
"Glad to see you are doing well, sensei!"
"Ida, he's still bandaged from head to toe..."
"My welfare isn't important. Because your fight is far from over."
Nervous whispers echoed throughout the class, and the students began to worry again.
'He'll say something completely ordinary, won't he?'
"UA's Sports Festival is fast approaching!"
"That's so totally ordinary!" several voices sounded at once and Harry wondered if they agreed on these screams in advance.
"Come on, we just had that villain attack, you sure about this?!"
Minoru apparently did not like the prospect of an imminent meeting with the villains and he only miraculously did not start pulling his hair out of his head.
"It's necessary. To demonstrate that UA's crisis management protocols are sound. That's the thinking apparently."
Aizawa looked sternly from under the bandages.
"Compared to past years there'll be five times the police presence. Anyhow, our sports festival is... The greatest opportunity you'll get. It's not an event that can be canceled over a few villains."
"You sure about that?"
"Why did you enroll in the Hero Course if you're afraid of meeting the villains...?" Harry muttered under his breath, looking at Minoru with an unreadable expression on his face.
"Mineta... Are you telling me you've never seen UA's Sports Festival?!"
Midoriya was shocked by the mere possibility of such a 'sin'.
"Of course I have. That's not that I mean..."
Aizawa raised his voice and the students fell silent again.
"Our sports festival is the Japan's biggest events! The Olympics were once the world's sports festival. The whole country would be whipped into a frenzy over them. But as you know, that tradition shrunk in scale to a shell of It's former self."
And it was absolutely true. After the quirks appeared, the Olympic Games lost their fuse, no one was interested in looking at the limits of the ordinary person when superheroes are walking on the street.
"And as far as Japan's concerned, what's taken the place of the Olympics is... The UA Sports Festival!"
Momo perked up and rose slightly from her seat.
"The nations top Heroes will be all watching, right? They'll be there as scouts!"
"Yep~ and we are like fresh meat for them." Harry chuckled softly at his own joke and his left shoulder twitched slightly.
Kaminari turned to Jiro.
"Lots of heroes will be looking for sidekicks after we graduate! That's how it's done!"
"And a lot of those sidekicks never manage to go solo. They're sidekicks forever. That'll be you Kaminari, you dunce."
"Tch!"
"Naturally, you'll gain valuable experience and popularity if you're picked by a big-name hero. But your time is limited. Show the pros what you're made of here, and you'll make futures for yourselves. This happens once a year... So you've got three chances. If you're hoping to become a Hero, this is an event you can't miss!"
Harry thought deeply about Aizawa's words. The Sports Festival can be a good push for him. The teenager was not worried about popularity, but if he takes a high place, then he has a better chance of getting to an experienced Hero. Although Harry knew who he wanted to train with, but this hero most often worked alone...
"Everyone, I'm gonna crush this!" Uraraka's cry brought him out of his thoughts and the teenager was greatly surprised by the change in her aura.
'That's weird But oh what the hell?'
"Let's crush this festival!" Harry began to become infected with the strange energy of the class and raised his hand with the others as well.
---
After lunch, Harry returned to the library and saw the familiar silver hair at the table in the far corner. The teenager walked over to the table and the girl looked up at him.
"Hello Gin-san. Is this seat taken?"
She just looked at him and when Harry wanted to repeat his question, she began to speak.
"You destroyed my suit."
"Huh?"
Hagane sighed and closed her book, she pointed to the chair opposite and the teenager sat down silently.
"Harry Potter. Ordered a suit with good protection and a cloak to increase the shadow. Additional equipment: torches. I spent hours putting it all together and you destroyed it."
Harry blinked a couple of times and finally understood what the girl was talking about.
"Did you make my suit? Oh shit, I'm sorry about that. The situation was a little... tense during the attack on the USJ."
Hagane still hadn't blinked and kept looking into Harry's eyes.
"You still destroyed it."
"Don't you even think it was a villain attack?"
"Except for the left shoulder, the fabric was torn from the inside. I'm not an idiot."
"Well... I'm sorry about that."
Finally, the girl blinked and nodded in satisfaction.
"Well, this is the second time I've seen you, so answer me a couple of questions."
"Shoot."
"Your quirk is using shadows around you, right? Then why didn't you ask to built torches into the suit itself? If you can create your own shadow without removing the torch from your belt, wouldn't it be much easier?"
Now it was Harry's turn to look at the girl without blinking.
"...because I'm an idiot. Damn, it's that simple! I could... Oh, it doesn't matter now, does it? Do you have any more ideas?"
The teenager leaned on the table and looked with interest at the girl, who was already taking out a thick notebook with dozens of multi-colored bookmarks from her bag. She put it down on the table with a loud bang and opened it at a page with a sketch of Harry's costume. The entire page was covered with mathematical formulas and notes.
"A couple."
Harry looked the girl in the eye and smiled wider than the Cheshire cat.
"Great!"
---
After the last lesson, a huge crowd of students gathered in front of Class 1-A. Harry looked at the crowd of onlookers and sighed heavily. It's not so bad, he can listen to their screams as he pushes through the crowd.
"Whoa, what's going on ?!" Ochako just now noticed a crowd of people and was very surprised.
"No way out! What're they here for?"
Bakugo walked past Minoru without even looking at his classmate.
"Scoping out the competition, duh, small fry. Cuz we're the kids who survived a villain attack. Makes sense they'd want a look before The Sports Festival."
"And that's him on a good day..."
"No point though. Move aside, cannon foddler!"
"Can we please not resort to calling those we don't even know "Canon foddler"?!"
Ida shouted in a loud voice from across the classroom.
"It's true, we came to get a look, but you sure are modest." came a voice from somewhere in the crowd.
The students dispersed, letting through a tall teenager with purple hair and dark circles under his eyes.
"Are all kids in the Hero course like this one?"
"Huh?!"
'Great, Bakugo pissed off someone.'
"Gotta say, I'm a little disillusioned if this what's you're offering." the guy straightened his hair and examined the class 1-A with a boring look "Those of us who didn't make the Hero course are stuck in General Studies and other tracks. There're quite a few of us, did you know that? Depending on the-"
"That's cool and all, but get the fuck out of the way. I'm not interested in hearing your declaration of war. My train leaves in ten minutes and I promised to be back early today." Harry broke off the guy's speech and looked him straight in the eyes, irritated.
"Another one? Do you think if you could beat a couple of villains, then now you are untouchable?!" said the second teen with a pigtail on his head.
"...I think if you were in my shoes during USJ, your arm would've be bitten off." Harry replied in a dead tone that sent chills down everyone's spine "You came here trying to look at those who survived the villain attack? Look as long as you like. I'm not interested in the opinion of a bastard who only thinks he can do better and sits on his ass. Now move."
Harry didn't wait for an answer and walked right through the crowd, ignoring another shout from the left of the corridor.
"He sure can be scary..." muttered Minoru and everyone silently agreed.
