Hyungwon's POV
Whenever I woke up again, Changkyun was awake and Shownu, Xiumin, Chen and Baek were playing with my kids. Changkyun noticed that I was awake.
Changkyun: Hey Hyungwon. How are you feeling?
Hyungwon: Tired and stressed.
Changkyun looked at me and sighed.
Changkyun: You know that we are always here for you.
Hyungwon: I know. I'm just stressed more then I should be.
Changkyun: It'll be fine. I promise.
Hyungwon: I know. But it's just stressful thinking about it and trying to decide it. Why does it have to be hard?
Chanhkyun: It may seem hard but you just need time to relax and calm down so you can think more clearly so you don't overthink about it. Just take a deep breath and relax. It's going to be okay.
Hyungwon: But what if it's not?
Changkyun looked at me.
Changkyun: You need to just tell Wonho. He will understand it.
Wonho: Understand what?
Changkyun looked behind me. I sighed and looked at Wonho. He looked at me with worry and concern.
Hyungwon: I think we need to take a step back and just work on what will happen to us as friends. Yes I'm still giving you the second chance but as friends.
Wonho sighed but nodded.
Wonho: I understand and I won't try and talk you out of it. I also kinda jumped into it whenever I apologized. I should have just apologized and let you have your space. I'm sorry for that.
Hyungwon: It's fine. Thank you for being understanding.
Wonho: You're welcome Hyungwon. May I?
Wonho gestured towards the kids. I nodded. He walked over and sat down while the kids crawled over to him and Baekhyun was still holding Silvia. I looked over to Changkyun. He looked at me and nodded then mouthed "don't cry". I nodded and went back to watching him play with the kids. After a few hours, Wonho stood up and walked over to me and handed me Silvia while Xiumin and Chen had the twins.
Wonho: Let me know when and how long I can see them. I won't push and I won't keep asking when I can. I will let you let me know when. And I will keep my distance until you want me to be around.
Hyungwon: Are you sure you're okay with this?
Wonho: Yes I am. I promise. And don't worry about me. Shownu already told me that he will be checking in with me every other day to make sure I'm okay.
I gave him a look.
Wonho: This is a good thing. We need this break. And I don't care how it ends up. Weather it's me and you as friends or if me and you find different people. I will still care about you and the kids but I will give you guys the space you need for right now.
Hyungwon: Thank you. And how are you so understanding?
Wonho: Someone may have given me a heads up.
I looked at Shownu.
Hyungwon: Really!?
Shownu: What?
Hyungwon: You told him?
Shownu: Yeah so it would be easier than fighting. I was thinking ahead for your health and for the kids. Don't want to be fighting in front of the kids.
I rolled my eyes. Wonho laughed.
Wonho: But text or call and let me know if you need anything or if you want me around the kids. I will leave it up to you.
Hyungwon: I don't want this to be weird between us.
Wonho: It won't. We will treat it like we were in high school before we started dating but this time with kids involved and on your terms.
Hyungwon: Yeah.
I smiled sadly but reassuringly. Wonho gave me a look.
Hyungwon: I'll be fine.
Wonho: Okay. Call me if- scratch that, let me know if you need anything from me.
Hyungwon: I will.
Wonho smiled then left. I looked at Changkyun.
Chankyun: Now you can start crying if you need to.
Shownu: Well don't say that.
I started crying. Baekhyun came over and hugged me. Changkyun sighed.
Changkyun: Come here.
Baekhyun took Silvia while I crawled onto the bed next to Changkyun. He rubbed my back to sooth me and soon I calmed down.
Hyungwon: This all feels so wrong.
Changkyun: Shhh it's okay. It will get better.
Hyungwon: How?
Changkyun: With time Hyungwon. It will hurt and it will feel wrong but time will tell and it will heal everything. But you need to calm down and breathe. Do we need to do something together like shopping spree after I get out of the hospital?
Hyungwon: That sounds nice. But-
Changkyun: No buts Hyungwon. You need this. You have people who have your back and Wonho will be one phone call or one text away if you need anything from him. He wants this too. I know he feels the same way but wants to give you that space and give you and him time. Trust me. He will be checked on every other day and he knows that we are here if he needs us. You need to calm down and relax. Okay?
Hyungwon: Okay.
Changkyun: Okay. When do i leave again?
Dongwook came in and looked at me. I smiled at him.
Dongwook: You can go home now.
Changkyun: Thank you.
Dongwook: You're welcome. But take it easy okay?
Changkyun: I will.
After Changkyun was ready, we left and went home for a little while.
