ARIYA...
"BRIANNA!!!!"
I jumped to hug her and screamed so loud that mum came to check what's going on.
"What is this about?"
Wait! Why doesn't mum look surprised?
"Mum it's Brianna, she's back" Two obvious things I said 'it's Brianna' and 'she's back'.
"Yeah? So why are you screaming?"
"Mum you knew?"
"Yeah I did, for about a week now"
"And you didn't even tell me?"
"I told her not to. I wanted to surprise you".
"Well it worked. I am damn surprised, I'm so happy you are here girl." I hug her again.
"A lot has been going on in my life too babe and I'm so glad you here right now.... You are right on time. I pull her in and slam the door before I hear Mum pulling her slippers in the corridor.
"Tell me about it girl. All of it, don't dare leave one detail out."
"I have a date tonight and I need your help"
"A date? Girl you dating?????"
"Not really" I smile. And she laughs.
"Girl that smile has its own meaning, and I know the meaning."
" haha don't get any ideas"
"Well leave everything to me girl, when I'm done with you, all the guys drinking who will see you will chew on their glasses."
"I trust you my boo" we high five and I hug her tight. Like I'm so so so happy Brianna finally decided to show up.
We spend the whole day, taking hours to get the perfect dress for me, we finally land on a frozen blue gown. It's king sleeved one handed and has a bow tie on the collar bone extended downwards over the right boob. The gown descends down body tight, inches below my knee and has a broke line extending up to my thigh.
Now, shoes! Looking at my shoe rack, about 50pairs of shoes neatly lined up consisting of tennis shoes, heels, sandals, slippers , boots, etc. we look through the shoes about 10 times over already measuring each that look like a big deal and we finally land on a very high black heel sandal that has Daimond blinks around its heel.
"Perfecto!! What do you think?" Brianna appreciates.
"Its amazing Brio" I appreciate too with a smile.
"Great! So now we have to do something about the toe nails now and of course the finger nails too."
She said with a broad smile and trying to figure out what will fit. I sit down and Brio works her magic. I watch as she files and builds acrylic over my nails and I send my nails into the polish drying machine. When I take my fingers out, it's perfect, blue flushing half way over black with Daimond blinks.
"Hmm this does the magic Brio" I say admiring my fingers."
"I am the magic girl" she boast and we laugh.
"You sure are girl"
"Cmon go wash off, it's 8pm, we still have to perfect your beauty. I want him knocked out of his freaked brain when he sets eyes on you.
I giggle and rush into the bath room to take a shower. While In the shower I got some time to think. I mean I still remember that blue eyes look yknow, I also remember the almost accident, I also remember he's sorry face and how much he regretted me seeing him like that. I mean I should hv moved on and stayed away but here I am spending hours to look for a dress to wear just to go meet him. The force pushing me towards him might have a better explanation to all this but all I know right is I'm into this guy so much that I just might not even care what ever he is. I do sound crazy and all that but this is my journey, if I'm gonna regret it, it should be later because I'm dying to be wrapped into his arms in a hug tonight.
I'm done and out of the shower by 8:30, that was fast. Brianna starts styling my hair, bringing the left side of the frontage almost over my left eye and curl the rest into bouncing smooth elegant curls. Great. Done with my hair now it's face time.
"Brio I trust you but I'll like the makeup to be nude"
"Let the magician, the beauty expert wizard do her work girl"
"Ok ok fine"
I tilt my head a little backwards so she can gain access to my face. My shade of foundation is just perfectly my color so no stress. She works her magic on my face and when I look into the mirror, gosh I look like a goddess. Dude I look breathtaking like even me will stair at me. Make up is magical, it completely changes your look...entirely. I get on my feet and Brio helps me into my dress. Wooooow!!
"Wooow! Huni you look like a whole million dollar pack" Brio appreciates with almost teary eyes. I give her a light hug.
"Hey you might ruin my hard work crazy. Ah that reminds me. I gotchu something, it'll match your outfit."
She brings from her bag something shiny.
"Pearls!!!" I recognize excitedly.
"Yes girl, I gotchu a pearl necklace and earrings, pearl bracelet too so next time I leave, you won't miss me too much"
"What kind of person are you? God!! My love for this girl."
"Don't you dare shed a tear and ruin your makeup"
"Ok can I hug you again?"
"Ok after I put this on"
"These are just too beautiful Brio. Thank you" I hug her again.
A message notification brings light to my phone screen.
"God it's 9:15 already"
"Ok I know you are still a foodie but don't eat too much ok?"
"I'm so late"
I grab my purse with haste.
"Calm down girl. When they say 9, a girl's time is 10. Ok get going before he develops cold feet waiting."
"Bye girl, talk when I get back home" I shout on my way down the stairs. I find Mum seated on the couch in the living room.
"Tell him I'll like to meet him. Let's have dinner on Wednesday" As surprised as I look and feel right now I can't let my heart start racing so much else I might just start sweating.
"Oh....ok...mum I'll tell him that"
I leave immediately so that she doesn't bug me anymore. I get into my car and drive off.
"9:35 shit!!" I hit the wheel. I arrive at the venue and move towards the door and it automatically opens at my presence.
"Good evening ma'am, you are welcome"
A man dressed in a pair of black suit greets me.
"Miss Ariya?"
"Yeah that's me"
"Please let me show you to your table"
He takes the lead to where Ethan is seated or has been sitting.
"Thank you." He bows and smiles before leaving.
Ethan stands from his chair, hug me and pull out my chair for me.
"Thanks" I say before sitting into the chair.
"You look amazing." He says and smiles.
"You do not look bad yourself ." I smile too.
"Took you long enough. What kept you?" He complains in a humble way.
"Girl stuff."
"I see. Let's order for some food. I've been drinking water for almost an hour now."
I giggle to that. "Sorry about that."
I laugh softly and he joins me. We order for food and it's served in few minutes.
We chat and laugh together, we also remember old stuff and laugh about it then comes this awkward silence. I really do not want to spoil this date by talking about what happened the last time we saw each other. Maybe later.
"I've missed you Ariya" shit!! Why did he have to say this physically? It's easier to ignore it over the phone. I still don't say anything, I just smile.
He pays the bills and we move outside still chatting and laughing. He leans in my car staring at me from head to toe and smile.
"You are the prettiest woman this world and beyond could ever afford Ariya." I lean in closer.
"Oh yeah??"
"Yeah"
He's face drops to mine. I know he's going to kiss me and I want to torture him a bit. I keep trying to stop myself from talking about what happened to him but it's just not working.
"Something is or has been happening to you Ethan, and you not telling me anything why?"
"Because you are not ready to know." He takes my face into his hands. "When you are ready to know Ariya I promise I will tell you everything."
"But I am ready. Why do you think I'm not? I've been ready for the longest time I d known you. I knew you were gonna end up being the strangest guy I'll ever meet but unfortunately, there's no turning back. I'm already in this, with you."
I put my arms over his shoulder and lift my toes a little as he descends his face, our lips bind, clamp against each other. My lips were born for his. He claims my lips switching between lower and upper lip, before I can brake this hungry kiss, he slips his tongue to my throat before I knew it. He is gentle and and everything charming. I want to take this to the car but that will be too much. God I miss this asshole.
I finally broke the kiss when a drunkard yells from the road side.
"Get a room mfs." We both laugh.
"Let's visit mum's monetary tomorrow and take a short trip next weekend."
Isn't he gonna ask me if I'll be chanced to come? Hmm how bossy. I don't care right. I just want to be with him.
"Where will we go?"
"It's a surprise." He smiles and open the door to my car for me to get in. I reach up and give him a peck to his lips before getting in.
"Drive safe." And he closes my door before I drive off.
