Suddenly, I felt a chill get sent down my spine.

Slowly, I turned around and noticed a pack of six yaverns were approaching me, but even as my body was pumped full of adrenaline, I couldn't feel any fear.

It was the same as my sadness and anger… it was containable.

But, it wasn't something that I willed to do, but a subconscious effort, as if my body doesn't want to experience any more of these hellish emotions.

"How lucky," I muttered before smiling to myself, feeling the adrenaline rush even more throughout my body.

The feeling was almost addicting as the yaverns all rushed towards me, their jaws stretched wide open like a snake.

CRUNCH

I immediately reached down towards the yavern corpse below me and ripped out one of its ribs, causing even more blood to spray across my face.

Even after seeing such a hellish sight, the yaverns continued to press forward towards me, and just as they all lunged, I jumped out of the way.

Fwoosh

I swung the rib towards one of the yaverns' underbelly, but my pitiful strength didn't even leave a scratch on its weak spot.

"AHAHAHAHA! IS THAT HOW YOU'RE GOING TO PLAY!" I shouted before slashing through one of the vines crawling along the dungeon wall, spewing even more green smoke that began to fill my lungs.

Blood trailed down from my eyes as the gaseous green smoke felt as if it was eating me from the inside out.

My vision began to blur, but with the remaining sight that I had, I chased down the yaverns who had already lost all feeling in their bodies.

Kshhh Kshh Kshh Kshh

I flipped over one of the yaverns and then repeatedly stabbed its belly, all the way until I reached its heart.

I made my way over to the next one as the pain numbed my mind, and the only thing keeping me from dying was [Poison Resistance].

Without it, I would've already dropped dead.

My eyes glowed a slight yellow tinge as I slashed through the bellies of four more yaverns mercilessly.

A smile was the only thing plastered on my face as the final demonic beast dropped dead below me.

"HUFF… HUFF… HUFF…"

I breathed in a few last times before dropping unconscious… and my subconscious suddenly took over.

I was unaware of what was happening when I was passed out on the ground, but I would soon be aware as the demonic hunger rumbling from within the depths of my body was gone.

"*gasp*... HUFF HUFF HUFF…"

I was currently on my knees, and an invigorating feeling of victory washed through my body instead of the familiar adrenaline.

"*sigh*... Well, shall I travel farther?" I muttered while smiling to myself, the extreme hunger completely gone from my body.

But, after only an hour of walking and maneuvering down the monotonous and loathsome dungeon hall, an extreme hunger began to claw at my throat again.

My throat was so dry that I couldn't even mutter a single word, and my stomach was so empty I could barely walk as I was forced to hobble down the stone path.

But, there was nothing besides the poisonous seeds around.

I glanced at the vines.

Then glanced away.

Glanced at the vines.

Then glanced away.

I swallowed a large drop of saliva before tightening my grip around the single rib bone I held in my hand and then slowly cut off the vine, making sure not to penetrate any of the seeds.

After the vine dropped to the ground, I slowly opened up the outer, tough shell, revealing the seeds inside.

It was like a massive green bean, but the seeds inside were poisonous.

I poked the seed once, seeing that it was squishy and soft, and after seeing that it was potentially edible, I punctured a small hole in it.

I let the gas slowly drain out a few meters away from me, and after only a few minutes, everything was ready.

My mind was so clear yet so chaotic, but after consuming the soft and bitter seed, my mind was just clear.

The only thing left was my parched throat.

After seeing that there were no other corpses around, I quickly made my way down the intertwining dungeon once again.

An hour passed.

Two hours passed.

Three hours passed.

The seeds that I could consume were the one saving grace that prevented me from dying, and at the five-hour mark, I passed out from exhaustion.

"Sluk kameratene mine og kvel deres sjeler"

As I opened my eyes, I watched a young man with short black hair and pitch black eyes chant something in a foreign language I was unable to comprehend.

He wore a black robe covering his lengthy, thin, frail body.

I soon noticed this was because he was trying to avoid these old men that flew in the air with angelic white wings.

But, they soon caught up to him…

He jumped back, and a strange black star on his hand released a powerful abyssal-like mass of black flesh that devoured them whole.

It had thousands of eyes along its body and thousands of mouths that began to suck in blue light from around its body.

But, it was quickly interrupted by a spear of bright light that caused it to dissipate into black ash, leaving the man with black hair to be caught by a few young men with long blond hair.

I had a strange urge of hatred towards them, but it was the last thing I thought of as the man with black eyes was skewered with hundreds of poles of light…

And, as his eyes lost the light inside of them, he stared directly at me.

"Huh?" He mouthed before dying.
