At first everything seemed fine having meditated quite often in my past life it wasn't hard for me to reach the most basic stage of the energy unlocking phase all I had to do was to wait for the medicine to remove the filth from my my body so that I could feel the natural energy of the world and guide through my my body awakening the various spiritual points throughout at least that was the plan.
As soon as the natural energy of the world entered my body it was like I was hit with a tidal wave instead of the steady stream I was expecting if things went well or a massive river if it didn't the natural energy immediately began to tare away all the pollution from my body which would have been fine if it was destroying everything else with it so I was forced to use as much energy as I could control to constantly repair and improve every portion of my body I lost track of much time I had wasted eventually the chaotic storm of energy began to receed and I could feel my body again.
The first thing I felt was pain as every part of my body was broken down to nothing nearly destroying me then a comfort I have never felt before in all three lives my senses had been increased and everything felt clearer as if I had been walking through fog my whole life until this moment then there was an unbearable odor which I immediately knew came from me as my body was now covered in some ungodly filth so I immediately turned on the shower and began to clean the offending substance from my body.
Soon after I had gotten out of the shower I began to examine myself once again looking in the mirror I had gone from decedent to ruggedly handsome and with my roguish charm from my last life I bet I could easily slip into the beds of many beautiful women My have taken an unnatural color purple that seems to glow but other than that I don't see any noticeable changes that should lead me to be worried I haven't discovered any hero powers yet but I do have some latent energy floating in my pancreas so it might develop later.
I decided to call Sarah to meet up I wanted to what sort of reaction to expect when I'm out in the world plus I just want to see where I scale with her as I wasn't too impressive before and she seemed more interested in my background than me personally as someone who spent a lot of time seducing women in his past life it was almost an insult to me I at least want to be on the board plus she needed to know what I look like now just in case I needed to identify me at the nearby park.
I didn't have to wait long as she quickly arrived and began searching for me before I waved her to her she had a face full of worry and what could only be described as hate when she stared at me which made me wonder what was going through her mind as she approached me I didn't have to wait long to figure out why though.
Sarah:"Where is he?!" killing intent thick in voice but still even not screaming
Me:"Who?!" I finally understood but needed to act confused like I didn't understand
Sarah:"DON'T FUCK WITH ME WHERE IS HECTOR!?!" I allowed realization to appear in my gaze
Me:"Sarah it's me!"
Sarah:"I don't know you where is Hector!?!"
Me:"Sarah I'm Hector!"
Sarah:"What?!"
Me:"I'm Hector!"
The look on her face was priceless but I couldn't afford to break character at the moment my only hope was that she bought my bullshit lie and didn't pound my head in after she heard it.
Sarah:"Hector?"
Me:"The one and only hopefully"
Sarah:"...how...."
Me:"I bought a cleansing liquid to allow me to cultivate"
Sarah:"How no alchemist would sell it to you without a guardian signing off that doesn't even cover the fact that you would need to rent a spirit vat to bathe in and a team of at least three apprentice alchemist to monitor your condition and sign a waiver in case of death!? You can't afford that tell me you didn't sign some kind of loan!?"
Her voice was steadily getting louder attracting a bunch of unwanted attention from nearby people.
Me:"Uh ...Sarah maybe we should discuss this elsewhere?"
She finally realized that she was creating a scene and decided to calm down before we went back to the apartment the moment the door closed she was back in full interrogation mode
Sarah:"So talk how were you able to afford this" waving her hand in my direction
Me:"I bought it from a witch doctor"
Sarah:"YOU DID WHAT!?!"
Witch Doctors are the illegal versions of alchemist their methods are completely unregulated and wholly secret they are extremely dangerous and borderline monsters in most cases they are more terrifying than monsters as most can't fathom what they are capable of but they are usually the only alchemist willing to work with those from the ghetto districts as most alchemist wouldn't help anyone lower districts no matter how much money they had unless the had a backer of some sort that had some clout.
