When Lunael looked back at her wide, tall, shiny and neat mirror, she saw a
familiar sight. She saw Saul, but could not recognize him, all she knows is that he is a
Demon. When Lunael realized this, she immediately posed into her battle stance, together
with wondering what was happening. She couldn't quite imagine how it happened that a
Demon was able to connect to something in Caelum. She was so curious that she asked
Saul through her mirror "How is this happening? A low existing Demon like you, doesn't
have enough power to be able to do these kinds of things."
"I did not do this to pester." Saul said calmly. "I just want to know if this badge
belongs to you? I found it during the war."
"That's mine! How did that get to you?! Do you somehow have a spy here?!"
Lunael's eyes locked and enlarged right when she saw her badge.
"Can you shut up first?! You're exceedingly loud! I can't explain the situation
with you if you keep shouting!" Saul exclaimed; slowly getting annoyed and irritated with
the noise of Lunael's shouting tone.
Lunael was so embarrassed that she went from freaking out and loud, to calm and soft. She
did not notice that because of all the scruple she felt, she was already shouting.
"If you want to have this back, you will have to meet me at the side of the
Purgatoire." Saul said.
Lunael was utterly undecided and distraught, because to meet or as much as talk to an
opposite entity, is strictly forbidden at both sides. On the other hand, another reason why she could not stay put, was that without her badge at Caelum, you are counted as a spy or
distinct.
"F-fine, I agree to meet with you. Only if you'd promise me that you will be alone
and not bring any other Demon with you." Lunael said stuttering.
Now that the deal has been agreed upon, they both got ready to meet each other in
Purgatory.
The Purgatory (also known as Purgatoire), is one huge and mountainous island
wherein the group of the Demons and group of the Angels execute their wars. It's higher
than Infernos and lower than Caelum. This is also where the souls of the dead people go,
and every year, Infernos and Caelum has wars here to get those souls. The group that are
able to get the most souls, are the winners. Each soul they get, are made to become soldiers
to fight the next war, because they are not allowed to have a huge number of children. At
Caelum, you can only be a part or member of a family, but you are not allowed to have any
form of lust. While at Infernos, they are allowed to have any form of lust, but they would
not get anyone pregnant, although if they do have a form of lust, each kind has
consequences behind it, which would depend on your luck.
Lunael prepared her armor and flew downward to arrive at Purgatoire. But while
she was flying down and out of Caelum, she bumped into one of the Guardian Angels,
Petrus. Petrus has a long white beard, is extremely tall, and always wears a white cloak. He
is the highest authorized Guardian and is the one who holds the key to the Golden Gates at
Caelum, the one and only exit and entrance.
"Where are you headed to, Lunael?" Petrus asked with doubt.
"I was just about to look around the Purgatoire if there are souls left." Lunael
explained with deep tension.
Petrus then opened the Huge golden gate using the shining key and chanted "Aperi tuum
portas hoc est mandatum meum". When the chant was finished, the Golden Gates opened
and Lunael quickly flew out of Caelum and down into Purgatoire.
Meanwhile in Infernos, "Wow! I didn't know she was that pretty!" Azazel said
excitingly to Saul. Saul looked at him as if he wants him dead.
"You should remember that woman is mine." Saul said.
Azazel was nervous with what Saul said. "Come on. You know I was just joking around!
Of course she's all yours!"
Before they left, Saul gave Nefas a power to fly once again as payment for what he has
served to Saul. When Saul and Azazel got back at Infernos, they got ready as fast as they
could and Saul tidied himself up and went all out with his looks to captivate Lunael.
Although Saul seems calm, deep inside, he has this odd excitement about meeting Lunael.
When Lunael arrived at the Purgatoire, she went down into a forest. She observed
and looked around. She was highly alerted to make sure that she wouldn't be hurt and
ambushed by the Demons. Lunael continued walking and looking for Saul, when suddenly,
she felt someone touch her. She looked back, but she did not see anything, not even a
shadow. When she looked back in front of her, she saw Saul. Their face was so close to
each other that Lunael almost kissed Saul. Out of panic, Lunael backed up and posed as if
she was about to pull out her gold sword which was hanging at the side of her gold armor.
Saul quickly held Lunael's hand, but she fought through it to reach out her sword.
"Are you sure with what you're about to do? Everyone will know that there is an
Angel here if you ought to bring that out." Saul said calmly while smirking.
Lunael thought wisely because she knew that if she brought out her sword, it would shine
and all the powerful and authorized Angels would feel it.
"Don't act like we know each other. You're just a Demon and I'm an Angel. You
guys are inferior."
Saul flicked Lunael's forehead and she showed signs of getting hurt by it. "I thought we're
inferior? Why are you hurt with a simple flick?" Saul said teasing Lunael.
"Whatever! Give me back my badge!" Lunael said annoyed.
"We Demons are the mean ones in your perspective, but you Angels are the ones
without manners? Shouldn't we introduce ourselves to each other first?"
"Fine! I'm Lunael, now give me back my badge."
"Why are you so short-tempered? Angels are supposed to be kind, don't they?"
"Let's just do it this way." Saul explained. "Since you're mean to me, I'll bring
you to a place where you will surely be happy."
Lunael was surprised and curious with what he said. "What are you trying to say? I can't
stay too long! Plus, why would I go with a Demon like you?!"
"You talk too much." Saul complained. "Mutantur in huius mulieris est diaboli."
Lunael got shocked when she suddenly looked like a Demon.
"What did you do to me?! What kind of magic is this?!"
"Don't worry, you look like a Demon, but you're still an Angel. Do you want to
go to Infernos looking like an Angel? Do you want to die?" Saul said trying to convince
Lunael.
"What did you say? Where going to Infernos?!—"
Lunael was cut off by Saul. He pulled her into a portal to Infernos using his super
speed. When they went in the portal, they went out in a forest at the side of the island
Infernos. They did not notice that Maalik was following them, the guardian of Infernos.
Maalik is tall, has a long snout just like a dog, and his horns are circular. He can feel
everyone who enters Hell, but he could not feel those who leave. He is one of the Demons
who's horns are out and about, and this means that they are "on duty" or that they have a
job to do. They can only hide their horns when their jobs are done. But in Maalik's
situation, he could not hide them.
"Where have you been, Milord?" Maalik asks out of curiosity.
"We were just from… you know where." Saul winks at Maalik as a sign that they
were from a place where a lot of Demons have sex, which was his way to lie from where
they actually were from, Purgatoire.
Lunael was very quiet, mad, and nervous. She felt a mixture of emotions, but if
she allows her madness to prevail and fight the Demons, she would die. She was also
nervous because she deeply knew that if they would know that she is an Angel, she will die
helplessly. That's why she chose to stay quiet as much as she could. Either way, you could
still see her madness in her face. All she was thinking about was to get back at Caelum.
While Lunael was busy thinking, Saul brought her to his home. They just walked, since if
they were to fly, everyone would know that he was with an Angel. Saul's house was huge,
tall, wide, and full of the color black, but his house wasn't scary at all. Behind all the
exterior haunting looks of Saul's home, it always had a clean and calming feel to those who
saw or passed by it. Lunael was stunned when she saw his home because it wasn't the same
with what they taught everyone in Caelum. All that she knew was that all the Demons
looked disgusting because they do not do anything right. That's the reason why a lot were mad at Demons. At first, Lunael didn't want to go in Saul's home, but she was later
convinced because of her nervousness from dying. While Saul opened the door to his
home, they fought.
"Just make sure that I'm safe here. If only I could leave this disgusting place, I'd
really kill you." Lunael said reprimanded.
"Is that how you give thanks to those who save you?" Saul sighs. "Oh well.
Angels really doesn't have manners."
"What do you mean you saved me?! Maybe you forgot that I unwillingly
approved for you to bring me here. I don't even know you! Plus, we're a different race. In
fact, we're enemies."
When Lunael went in Saul's home, she was astonished with its spaciousness. From the
door, you will see a big, soft, and square sofa bed that was at the middle of the Living
Room. Around it was a mini refrigerator, that was storage for food and wine. In front of it
is a large flat screen T.V. that was on top of a relaxing chimney. From Lunael's
astonishment of Saul's home, she sat down at the sofa bed. Saul looked at her, planning to
annoy and tease her.
"Does it look disgusting?" Saul said sarcastically.
"Don't get me wrong, even if your house is this nice, this still won't change the
truth that we're enemies." Lunael said madly.
"As far as I am aware of, Angels are the most kind and divine. But from what I am
seeing right now, these are your true personalities." Saul said while taking off his long
black cloak.
The arguments continued from the two opposite races, when out of the blue,
Lunael sees a strange necklace which was in a space near the window. You would quickly
notice that it was strange because it looked like a monument and was on top of a rock full
of Amethyst. The necklace had a gold chain with a violet colored gem as a pendant.
Because of Lunael's curiosity, she went near it to have a better look at it. Saul was just
looking at her while she was slowly making her way to the necklace.
"Is it nice?" Saul asked.
"It's not just nice. Where did you get this?" Lunael answered then asked.
"That belongs to my grandmother. She gave it to me as protection, but I'm not
going to die because of my power. So, I just placed it there for respect." Saul answered.
"How did she get it? This is one of the long lasting gems of our whole existence.
It means that this is one of the six most powerful things." Lunael said. "Can I have it?"
"I will give it to you only if you can promise to meet me constantly where we met,
at Purgatoire." Saul said tricking Lunael.
Lunael agreed with Saul's deal. Saul brought her back to Purgatoire. Before
Lunael brought out her wings to fly back to Caelum, she planned to say goodbye to Saul,
but when she was about to, he was gone. She wondered how he left so fast, but when she
looked back to leave, she kissed Saul who was right in front of her. She blushed and was
full of embarrassment. She immediately flew away, while Saul smirked because he finally
had a score with Lunael. When Lunael finally arrived at the Golden Gates, she had her
prayer hands in order to signal Petrus.
"Aperi hanc potestatem tuam in porta caeli" Lunael chanted.
After a moment, the Golden Gates of Caelum finally opened. Lunael entered and met
Petrus once again.
"You look like you're blushing, Lunael. Are you okay?" Petrus wondered.
"I'm fine. I'm just got tired from flying." Lunael answered and quickly flew back
to her island.
