"How did your leg heal so fast?"
I stood at the school entrance with Chloe, she was about to scold me for coming to school,but then she became perplexed of how I was walking completely normal, without any little limps and not groaning.
"Wasn't it supposed to heal?"
"Yes but a fracture can never heal this fast"
She was right,I wouldn't have been able to come to school today and even tomorrow with the condition of my leg this morning,but when I got frustrated I started hitting my leg like that would solve any problem.
"Why won't you heal?" I hit my leg out of frustration."Just heal" that was when my leg began to glow,a very bright blue light,I was suprised,my leg isn't transparent but right now I could perfectly see the structure of the bone inside my leg,I could see the problem now,these blue light covered all of my leg except for one part and that was half of the part where that axe had cut me,I looked at my leg as the blue light began to make Its way to that part,but it seemed like they had some hard time getting there because they would try to get there then they would retreat backwards and try again,they did this several times before they were able to reach there,they blue light started to cover that part like they were filling it just like a dentist filled the cavity in one's tooth,after they had filled that area,I started seeing sparks of blue flame,were they doing some kind of soldering? I thought, suddenly a felt a sharp stinging pain from that part of my leg,I felt like screaming,I wanted to,but covered my mouth to prevent myself from doing that,what would mom,dad or Aurora say if they rushed into the room because I was screaming and then see that their son or brother's leg is emitting a very bright blue light that it made it possible for anyone to be to see clearly the inside of his leg,they would be petrified and that was the last thing I wanted to happen.
The pain slowly stopped and then the blue light slowly went off,I somehow missed how the lit up the whole room,but that wasn't my main concern,I could feel my leg now,few minutes ago it felt like a large tree had fallen on it but right it felt as free and weightless more than the last time they were okay,I slowly put my leg down and I was suprised that I didn't feel any stinging or throbbing pain, curious to find out if my leg was really healed I decided to stand straight with it, while doing this I could feel slight pains but they were nothing compared to the ones I felt yesterday,I was standing with both of my legs now and the pain was completely gone,I wanted to scream out of joy,but then someone barged into the room.
"You are standing" she said.
I didn't know what to say here so I just nodded.
She took whatever she wanted to take and left without even asking me how this was possible, maybe its because she didn't really know what happened to me.
Mom was glad when she saw that I was healed,but like Aurora she also didn't ask me how it was possible this fast, she also didn't know what happened to me,I was relieved that they didn't know,if they had known,that would have been a problem to deal with now.
As I walked to school with Aurora,I thought of that blue light and everything that had happened in my leg before I was healed completely, then my mind flew back to when that blue flame had appeared on Develee's hand and when he pushed it into my leg I felt the heat race all the way to my heart, maybe that flame wasn't able to completely heal the minute it enters someone's body or was its full power activated by word because that blue light emission happened after I said the word heal,I was going to find out but not now that I was walking to school with Aurora,oh I really missed what it felt like to walk with good legs again.
Chloe was the first person to sight me after we entered the school and by the look on her face I didn't think she was expecting to see me in school today.
"What are you doing here?" she asked without even paying any attention to my leg.
"My leg is okay now" I said kicking my left leg forward just to show her,Aurora had gone to class so it was just both of us now with students who were just walking by.
She opened her mouth staring at my leg like there was ghost scorpion on it."How did your leg heal so fast"
I had not thought of an answer to that question on my way to school,I was overjoyed with the thought that I was able to walk normal again that I had forgotten to think of what to tell the only person,who had an idea of what happened to me, the nurse had told us that it was a fracture and would take some time to heal,I didn't know how long she meant by sometime,but from the way Chloe was acting, she knew how long.
"It just healed" I said,I wasn't able to come up with any better thing to say.
"Just healed" I could sense the disbelief in her voice."The nurse said that it needs two days to heal" she knew, but why didn't they tell me that earlier?
"I didn't mean heal... the pain just got less"
"Less"
"Yes"
"Ok"there was clear dissatisfaction in her voice.
There was an awkward silence between us as we walked to class,I wanted to say something to break this silence that made me uncomfortable but I didn't know what to say.
"You never told me how your leg got fractured" finally, she said something.
"I fell"
"How?"
"I slipped on mud"
She stopped walking,and then taking a closer look at me she started chuckling.
"What's funny"
"You slipped on mud" she said still chuckling.
"Is there anything wrong with it?" I was getting a little annoyed here.
"Only babies slip on mud"
I left her there without saying a word again,I was angry, not really at her but at Develee and everything that was happening to me,if only she knew that I really didn't slip on mud but got my leg cut off by a mystic axe belonging to a beast or a demon I couldn't tell what he really was.
I slammed the door as I entered the class,it wasn't that loud but still it was enough to draw the attention of some of my classmates who were giving me a questioning look now.
My heart felt like it was getting stabbed as I sat on my seat,why did my life have to be so complicated? strange things,a beast that protected me for a reason that I didn't know,I couldn't even tell Chloe,I trusted her but I feared what Develee would do to her if I told her,my heart throbbed,I blame Develee,he was the cause of everything,whenever something strange happens he just explains it halfway and disappears,he was definitely hiding something.My mind flew back to the nightmare I had this morning, Bryan,Develee had killed him and now he was tormenting me for that,why would Develee kill him?And why hadn't I seen him since yesterday, he usually came around, even if it was just to say hi.My gaze went round the class now,I was looking for someone,two people to be precise and I had found them, Bryan's two friends they were more like his buddies,they did everything together.
"Hi guys" I said,after walking up to them
"Oh hi Mike" John said,he was blonde with a nice smooth skin while the other person was Greg,he had black short hair that was usually messed up, but his skin wasn't bad,he was short unlike John.
"Can I ask you guys something?" that was a little straight to the point of what I wanted.
They both looked at each other as if trying to make a decision."Sure" they chorused.
"Were you guys with Bryan earlier yesterday?" I know I was sounding like a detective now,but I wanted to get something from them.
"Yeah" Greg answered,I could tell he was feeling tensed already.
"Were you guys discussing?"
"Yes" John nodded.
"Can you tell me what he said in the discussion?"
They looked at each other as if confused by my question,then John nodded to Greg.
He took a deep sigh and began."He said you that are you are so smart and cool that he feels like killing you"
"But that's just what he says about people he likes he tells us that all the time" John said,he was defending dead Bryan.
"Ok thanks" I said and slowly moved away from them.
Develee had killed Bryan just because of a joke,he didn't mean that even I knew it,but still he killed him,where is he I turned to my desk expecting to see him there staring at me with those cold eyes of his but he wasn't there,he was probably hiding from me,but unfortunately for him I knew how to bring him out.
I quickly rushed out of the classroom to the cafeteria,I searched the tables and floors until I found a small knife then I went to the bathroom,I was going to pretend that I was going to stab myself,as I raised the knife, the air around me suddenly became cold and it was very close to me, someone was behind me.
