My body felt like I had just finished running a marathon race, I had gone to bed early I didn't even wait for Aurora after lunch, but my body was feeling like I had been up all night.
"Awwwwww!" I yelled while stretching my body.
Aurora was still sleeping, that was strange because she always gets up before me, but then I checked the wall clock on our wall and discovered that the time was just three o,clock in the morning.
"What?"
I didn't even check the time before going to bed, maybe I went to bed really early because by this time I was no longer feeling sleepy like I always felt whenever I woke up in the morning, but it was too early to get up now so I laid down back on my bed in effort to get some more sleep, but it wasn't coming I couldn't even close my eyes I would shut them,then the next minute they would be wide open, this was my body here, telling me that I had slept enough.I stood up from my bed after many unsuccessful attempts to sleep.I walked to the door and opened it,my parents were still in deep sleep, that was because nobody would wake up by this time of the morning, unless you slept all day.I wanted to grab some milk from the kitchen, I've heard mom say many times that it helps one to fall asleep, but I've never tried it though, I'm not a big fan of milk.Since Develee revealed himself to me I've become less scared of the things that I was able to see even the most terrible ones which I would constantly see in my dreams,every dream always ending with a beast or someone very close to me telling me that I can't run away from my fate but up to this moment I hadn't gotten any clear view of which fate they were talking about, Develee still haven't explained to me why he was protecting me and why all these strange things were happening to me.I turned on the lights immediately I entered the kitchen,then I walked straight to the fridge to see if I could find some milk there.There were five milk cartons there which meant that there was a chance of milk being in one of them since Aurora was the only person who consumed them most at times.I lifted the first carton and it looked like there was nothing inside,I lifted the second one and there was nothing inside either, same thing with the third one,I touched the fourth one in hope of getting something,but I had grabbed it with the expectation of milk being inside that I had squeezed the whole carton,out of frustration I threw the squeezed carton away towards the dining table section.I wasn't expecting anything from the last one so I hit it with my hand to join the others but I felt something while hitting it,there was milk in there, the milk had rolled all the way to the exit door now,so I slowly walked to the door to go pick it up.I bent to pick the milk, but before I could get up something caught my attention,I was hearing something outside it sounded like someone was fighting something or someone.I slowly opened the milk and took a sip out of it,if Aurora was here now she would have said something mean to me by now for drinking directly from the milk carton.
"Who do you even think you are?" I heard a very monsterous voice say.
"I am your superior"
That voice was very familiar,that was definitely Develee, but who was he talking to? The next I heard was footsteps,it looked like they were both charging towards each other now,then I heard one of them slide backward.
"The fact that lord Dreado chose you as his right hand man doesn't make you any special!" he gave out a loud scream before charging forward again.
"Yes it does" Develee said.
The curiosity building up in me now was too much to control,I needed to see who Develee was fighting with and why they were fighting, Develee wasn't any ordinary person which meant that the person fighting him wasn't one either.I decided to take just a little peek of what was happening, but what I saw when I opened the door was too much to hold in, the premises of our house had turned into some kind of trans dimensional world, the whole place was scary and there was splashes of water falling from the sky,this prompted me to open the door, because I wasn't able to see Develee and the person fighting him with those dead trees obstructing my view.I stepped out of the porch and realized that the sky was glowing red, but still from where I was standing I wasn't able to see them, but I could hear what they were saying and how they were hitting each other.I jumped down from the porch expecting it to be a solid land, but I had jumped into a shallow pool and my feet all the way to my waist was completely soaked in blood.
"What the heck!"
I wallowed my way out of the pool as the noise from the fight became more intense.Immediately I got out from the pool I started hearing croaks.
"When last did I even see a toad?" I said to myself.
Then the croaking became louder and was disturbing me now, then large toads like the size of my feet started coming out from the pool of blood that I just came out from.First they were just five and I thought they were just harmless toads walking around until one them released it's tongue towards me,I never believed that a toad's tonngue could be that long, but I was quick enough to dodge the tongue which was now stuck on a tree.
"You missed" I said to the toad like we were playing a game,but then the ground started to shake and then the tree was uprooted and straight into the toad's mouth it went.
"Oh my God!" I said in terror.
The tolds had doubled in number now,so I had to make the run for it,I ran through the forest with no idea of where I was going while the toads pursued me croaking loudly.Those toads were very hot on my trail I had to dodge lots of tongues while running and with that miss a tree would be be uprooted depending on whether it hit a tree or not,if not their tongues would just fly straight back into their mouths.I had to think of something quick or else I was going to become food for toads,I remembered Develee and started running towards the side where I was hearing their fighting sounds,all I had in mind was that Develee would take care of these things,I didn't even think about who he was fighting with.I was closer to the fight scene now because I could hear someone groaning but the numerous twines in my way wouldn't let me see who,I managed to get through the twines while some of the toads were having problems with it, I jumped out into the clear space where the fighting was talking place, but the first thing I saw was an axe flying directly towards me.
