"Are you sure you are done?" miss Nicole asked.
I wasn't sure of what I just wrote, even Chloe was shocked about how fast I finished knowing that I have been too depressed to read my books since school resumed.
"Yes ma" I replied.
I wasn't the one replying,Develee had taken full control of my body and he was just too strong to resist.
"Are you sure?" She asked again, slowly taking my sheet from my hands.
The main reason miss Nicole had that look of awe on her face was because she didn't think any of us would finish the test this fast,and with the look on everyone's face this was her toughest.
"You can go now Mike" miss Nicole said.
She had noticed that I was still standing there after nodding in approval that I was done, but the reason I was still standing there was because I was fighting with Develee in my consciousness,then when miss Nicole called my attention Develee had to move to avoid any suspicions.
"Ok ma" Develee replied through me.
I was surprised but also glad at the same time,that he atleast he had some manners and that he wasn't like all the rude beasts I've read about in books.As Develee turned to leave I continued to fight with him in my consciousness.
"Leave my body" I tried to push him out of my consciousness seat,but he was just too strong to be moved by a weak push even in my consciousness.
"Just keep quiet,I just helped you now" he gave me a little push that sent me staggering back.
"You helped me fail the test that's what you did!" I yelled as soon as I regained my balance.
I wasn't sure of who or what this boy that claimed to be a beast was doing with me, but I was shouting at him like he was my little brother intruding into my private life, knowing fully well that he was able to end me now if he wanted to,I couldn't even handle a little push from him, but still I had to get him out of my body before he did something drastic and just leave me to face the consequences,so I kept disturbing him to leave my body with the assurance that he wouldn't hurt me.As I got near my desk the struggling between me and Develee got more intense in my consciousness,I kept pulling him to leave the seat but he was just too strong and was doing good ignoring me until I I jumped on the seats side,I caught him off guard so he wasn't able to pull the seat back to balance in time and fell off which now left the seat empty.
"That's not good" I gasped.
To everyone it was really strange how I stopped walking and was now falling like a dead tree and if I didn't do anything quick I was going to crash into my desk which was not going to be good for me,I quickly got up and was about to take the seat when I heard Develee's woosh sound and then he was already on the seat.
"Man what's your problem?"
Immediately Develee took the seat my body was now hung in the air with my feet as the only support and to humans that was an impossible thing to do,if I had taken control of my body all I would have been able to do was try to reduce the force with which I was falling.
"What the heck!" one of the students said.
"What are you doing Mike?" Chloe asked, looking at me with my body still hanging over the air, she was too busy with her test to be the first person to notice me even though the incident had happened just behind her.
"Nothing" Develee replied, pulling my body back up without even touching the ground first and giving off a fake smile.
"How were you able to do that?" a boy asked.
Develee was dumbfounded he didn't know what to do in this type of situations and I could tell he didn't want to get me in trouble.
"Yeah how did you do that mr Mike?" miss Nicole asked, taking off her glasses now.
"Just let me take the seat and I will handle this situation" I pleaded with Develee.
He was really reluctant to stand up,he would try to stand up but he just couldn't.
"Please Develee"
"I'm just trying to help you"
"I know but I think it's best I handle this one"
I could really feel the pressure from the questions being asked by classmates even though I was not in control of my body.
"Please Develee" I kept pleading.
"Ok" he reluctantly agreed, after fighting with himself for a while.
I immediately took the seat as he got up and the first person I saw was Chloe shaking me vigorously.
"What's wrong with you Mike?"
"Oh sorry I was just lost there for a moment"
"Yes I noticed" She said taking her seat.
"Just answer the question man!" a boy yelled out, which was pretty rude for someone writing a test.
"Oh that was just a dance move that I've been practicing and it's really a coincidence how I got the hang of it as I was about to fall"
"You were learning a dance move?" Chloe asked with a surprised look,then the whole class suddenly burst into laughter.
"Yes" I replied, trying not to lose my balance with the way I was feeling now.
"Just take your seat Mike" miss Nicole gave me a sit down gesture with her hand."You've succeeded in distracting my class" I heard her murmur as I sat down.
"Keep quiet all of you!" She hit her desk, to restore tranquility in the class, my classmates seem to have forgotten that they were writing the worst test of their life.I heaved a sigh of relief that they thought the reason I gave them as funny rather than unbelievable.I looked around in my consciousness wondering why everywhere was so quiet then I realized that Develee wasn't there and it had been a while since he disappeared.
We all waited quietly for miss Nicole to announce the results of our test which wasn't a normal routine but she just decided to do it,we knew she was ready to announce it as she cleared her throat and stacked the sheets she was holding.
"I'm really surprised and shocked at the same time with the outcome of this test" She said after she stood up.
"You all failed woefully" She said walking out from her desk position."Except one person" She was pacing in front of the class now."Mike Hills" She called.
"Yes ma" I answered, expecting to be criticized for failing.
"How were you able to answer all my questions?" She was staring right into my face now.
I was dumbfounded,I didn't even expect to get any mark after Develee forced himself to write my test, but the outcome of things here was the opposite of what I expected.
"Answer my question Mr"
"I don't know ma I just wrote what I knew"
"So you used your experience"
"Yes ma" I answered reluctantly.
"Now that's someone you call a student" She continued with her pacing.
I was able to breathe normal again now that her eyes were off me.
"Another person that was able to stand out, even though she didn't do so well" She continued."Was Chloe James,but she was not even close to Mike.
Immediately she called Chloe's name all eyes were now on our seat roll and I knew what they were thinking,and if you asked any one it would make sense that the girl that tried was just in front of the boy that got it all.
As the bell for lunch break rang I quickly rushed out off the class to avoid getting into any conversation with Chloe now.What Develee did was helping me cheat but I really loved being praised by miss Nicole, the teacher that hardly recognises any student no how well you do academically, but all that changed immediately Develee wrote my test,I needed to get some of this thought off my mind before I talk with Chloe or else I may say something that I shouldn't.
