Ashlyne left shortly after that and Regius took some time to compose himself before he focused on the now vibrant strand that hovered in his mana space. Regius pulled the strand out and at the same time pulled out Stella Sanguis as he tried to apply the strand but unlike the balance strand, the sword didn't want to accept the strand of sun mana.
Regius tried to apply it to different parts of the blade but the weapon didn't want to accept it. Regius tried to apply it to the gauntlets and they were the same way while Excalibur showed initial signs but eventually rejected it. Regius hypothesized that they wouldn't be able to handle two separate tiers of mana but he couldn't just waste the strand on a battery to test his new theory, who knows how long before his concept created a strand as unique as this.
