Regius heard the steps even before he saw her, but at this point the healers had tended to Ashlyne, but she had refused to move from the spot she was currently in. Regius could tell that she was barely conscious, but what strength she had was being used to cling to him and he saw no reason to betray that trust. The steps were drawing closer, and she quickly came into view from behind Edelweiss and Leem. Sia tapped Regius on the shoulder lightly.
"The whole aura projection thing is making it harder for the healers to do their job." Regius complied as the healers moved around her, wrapping the wound and injecting her with various potions to speed up healing while the wounds rapidly closed. She was weak from blood loss and the rapid drain of mana.
