Several hours had turned into several days before the doors to that chamber finally opened; it had become a rare period of calm like both sides decided upon it previously. When Regius finally left the chambers, Ashlyne had decided it would be better to not be in the public eye for a couple of days and it was time for her to, in fact, get some actual rest. Her nerves had been pulled taut when Regius disappeared and with him gone, his entire kingdom needed to be led and she had to admit that the entire process was exhausting.
