Owl returned to the room when he recalled that Denzel said something about a piece of good news, 'I doubt he would have awakened his Animal by now,' He thought to himself, as he opened the lock of the door, pushing the door as soon as he opened it.
He looked in, at the sight of Denzel's Eagle using its beak to raise a slice of pizza, and then slurping it into its mouth.
It raised its head, taking a look at Owl, "who the hell is that?" Owl asked Denzel, picking up another slice of pizza with its beak.
"Mical, switch with me for a second, I need to have a word with that guy,"
"Huh? I am eating right now, wait till I am done, and then you can come out all you want,"
"Just give me a minute, I won't take so much of your time, I promise,"
"Ahh, you are such a pain in the ass, I can't enjoy my food all because of you,"
Denzel snickered for a second, switching his body with Mical, the Eagle's body slowly revamping back to Denzel's human body.
"Denzel, one question, was your beast awake when you met it or did you have to wake it first?"
"Nope, I woke it up, it was in a very intense slumber," Denzel said the moment his body was back, and just as it should be, he still had his clothes on. That was enough for Owl to know that he could already relate with his Beast.
"Have you synchronized with it?"
"Synchronize, That again? I don't have any idea what that is-?"
"Hey Denzel, it is already a minute, you should get back in, I need to eat," Denzel could hear Mical's voice in his head, as he took a slice of pizza, he smiled, dipping it in his mouth and then munching it.
"Wait a minute more, if you don't chill, I might eat more of your food," Denzel chuckled when he said that, still eating the pizza he held in his hand.
"Okay! I would just go on and sleep,"
"I apologize, I won't touch your food,"
Owl looked at Denzel as he spoke, he knew that it was his eagle that he was speaking with, it wasn't something new to him, he did that a lot of times, but his beast was not as jovial as Denzel's Eagle was.
"Denzel, when you are done, meet me at the technical room, I would leave the door unlocked," Owl said and then walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
'It took me about two months to awake my Owl, and three months to even get a word to him, but just a month?' Owl thought to himself, he rested on the wall next to the door of Denzel's room, 'No wonder Leia is obsessed with him, he has potential, in less than two months, he might even be able to kill me. I think I would have to do something now, if not, both he and Leia would want to get rid of me,'
Owl raised his body from the wall, walked back to his room, picked up the telephone to call Leia and give her an update of what was going on.
-"What's wrong?"-
"Denzel can now communicate with his Eagle, but he is yet to synchronise with it, so what should I do with him now? Should I still lock him up there?"
-"No, give him his first mission, make a room for him to stay with you, and then make sure to keep an eye on him,"-
Owl dropped the telephone, kicking the chair that was in the room, "I have heard enough of it, I knew it, she is really trying to get rid of me, I have to do something soon."
Owl moved to the chair he kicked and sat back down. "If I should kill him during this mission he is about to head-on, and tell Leia he couldn't make it and that I helped him to slay that person, she might trust me more, but, if that doesn't work out, I am sure to be on both Leia and Denzel's death list. But if I try working with him, and he cooperates, I am sure that both of us together should be able to take care of Leia, but, which of them am I going to go with?"
After about 30 minutes, Owl heard a knock on the door, before he could even tell the person to come in, the door already opened and Denzel walked into the room, glimmering as he did.
"This place sure looks different, I never knew it would change this much in just a month," Owl looked at Denzel as he mumbled, it wasn't like they changed anything much, and that was what baffled Owl, "So, Owl you asked me to come," Denzel added.
"Yeah, you have your first mission set up already, "
"Am I to do it alone?"
"No, I would give you a hand in this, and I would allow you to take a break and visit your friend when we are done with it,"
"Are you for real?!"
"Yea," Owl took the jacket he hung on a hanger, motioning to Denzel to follow him out.
The two of them walked out of the building, both transforming into their Animals, and then flying in the air simultaneously.
"Owl, why did have to transform completely?"
"It's daytime, anyone that sees us would know that we are both Beasts,"
"Ohh," Denzel looked down after saying that, he saw that no one cared about them, some looked up in the sky, but took their focus away from them.
Owl went to an alley, transforming back into his human form, and Denzel pursued him, doing the same.
"Why are we here?"
"We are waiting for the people that we are going to take care of,"
"Are we meant to wait for them?"
"They always try to avoid security cameras and this is surely going to be part of their route. So we would have to be patient and wait for them."
Denzel sat on the ground, saying, "But why exactly do you kill these people?"
"They are loose ends, if we don't take care of them, we might end up being in trouble," Owl stood, not even turning his face to take a look at Denzel as he spoke.
"All of them?"
"Yeah,"
"But... Who exactly is Leia? Is her name really Leia? How strong is she? She is just dubious" Denzel turned to look at Owl as he spoke, he thought he might be able to achieve something from him if he asked about Leia.
"One thing I know about her is that she never lies about her name, as you would know, she is the Mayor's daughter,"
"Yes I know that, but is that why she is doing many of these things?"
"Maybe... Leia is much stronger than you think, you won't be able to kill her even if you tried, and, Leia actually has a reason for doing most of these things,"
"What reason?"
"She is the only one that knows that, but what I do know is that she is looking for someone that would help her to assassinate some set of people, and you see, Leia has a lot of connections,"
"Do you think she wants to use me?"
"No, she is just putting us through hell," Owl said but stopped when he noticed a gang come towards them, about four of them. "E, it's time," Owl said, cracking his hands.
"Let's go!"Denzel yelled.
The four guys stopped.
"Didn't I tell you that this guy would be back for us?"The guy that was at the front said.
"But why does it have to be right now?"Another one spoke out
"Let's take care of them ASAP, we are four, but they are just two," The first guy said again.
"Hmph, only fools think like this," Denzel smirked as he walked towards them.
"E, take on those two at the front, I would take the other two, and I just give you ten minutes."
"Okay!"
