Chapter 46 - The Two Choices.

*Knock*knock*knock*

'That must be Owl,' Leia thought, still placing her sweaty hands on her forehead, anyone who saw her would see the frustration in her face.

"Come in!" She yelled, turning off the computer that was placed right at her front.

When the door opened, A young man ran in, shutting the door behind him.

"Babe, I am back," The man knelt just at the back of Leia, his hands kept trembling as he placed it on his knees.

Leia's chair swivelled in a clockwise motion, making it possible for Leia to look at him in the face.

"OWL!!!" Her voice roared, "Of what use are you to me? You are prolly one of the most worthless people that I have encountered."

"I..."

"That mission was as simple as a grade one's math problem but yet you fucked it up..." Leia stood from the chair she sat on and began to walk around Owl.

"I have nothing to say, I am sorry," The trembling in Owl's hand increased, his face sweating profusely.

"Hmph..." Leia walked back to the chair and sat, "Look up."

Owl immediately lifted his face, as if Leia's words were a remote control for him.

"This is going to be the last I would give you a chance, if you mess up again, that's the end of us,"

A little glow began to form on Owl's face, the sound of 'us' made him glad.

"Okay, babe..."

"Don't call me that if you aren't ready to help me," Leia began to rotate the chair back to how it was initially but stopped when she noticed Owl was still on his knees.

"What the hell are you waiting for?"

"Huh?"

"Do I have to spell it out to you again? Get Denzel."

"Should I kill him or- never mind, I am off, I would end it," Owl was getting on his feet when Leia spoke, and he froze in his steps.

"Don't kill him, just get him... That's all I told you to do."

"Okay-"

"Also, I would be out of Hilldale today, and I might be out of contact but text me when you get him, I would let you know what you should do with him."

"Okay, I am off then," Owl stood, walking out of the room.

"What exactly might Grayson be planning? Who cares, there are ways I can stop his plans." Leia said, turning her chairs back to face the table.

*****************************************

"Are you awake?"

Denzel opened his eyes and closed it back immediately, reacting to the lights in the room

He opened his eyes back slowly and looked around the room.

'Where am I?' Denzel couldn't make a picture of where he was since everything looked blurred in his eyes.

Slowly, his eyesight began to get clearer, and he could get the picture of the person that sat just by his side. "Who are you?" He asked the person.

"Grayson... Your partner."

'Partner?' Denzel thought.

"Grayson? Who the hell is that?" Denzel blinked his eyes and took a look at the person. That was when he remembered who Grayson was.

"You don't remember?"

"No..." Dat sat up slowly, trying to stretch his hands when he felt something drag him back. It was the drip that was connected to his left hand. When he saw he couldn't move his hands freely, he placed it back on the bed, "Where am I by the way? A hospital?"

"No, this is my house."

"You treated me?"

"No, just a trained acquaintance of mine."

Everywhere was silent for some time, and Denzel broke it. "Did you save me? I thought I would wake up handcuffed to a bed at a hospital, or maybe just a cell."

"Yes, I did... Don't wor-"

"Say, Grayson, why didn't you help me earlier?" For some reason, Grayson was worked up when Denzel said that.

"Err... I got the-" For the second time, Denzel didn't allow him to complete what he was saying.

"...Not that I am angry that you didn't help me, in fact, I am quite happy you didn't, because Leia must die by my hand."

"What do you mean?" Grayson asked, confused. He expected Denzel to be furious about his defeat but Denzel claimed that he was happy about it.

"If you had interrupted our fight and killed Leia, I might have probably killed you instead, you claimed that you have been following me for a long time so I am sure you understand why I said that."

"Err, maybe... So Denzel, what do you want to do now?"

"I don't really know now, but I need to train more, Because if I need to get Leia, I have to get much stronger."

"Denzel, you are actually much stronger than you think, but I don't know how to help you with your training..."

Grayson noticed the frustration in Denzel's face, it wasn't soo much of a surprise to him since everything wasn't going according to his plan.

"Do you know anywhere or anything I could do to get stronger?"

"You are too desperate for power, but answering your question, I have a few places I could suggest to you."

"Where?" Denzel's face turned immediately to look at Grayson.

"There are two choices I have... First is an underground organisation of Beasts, just like us... what they do there is that few people can go on missions amongst them, the way they are chosen is by fighting each other the death, and trust me, you wouldn't want to go there, you could die at any time."

"I want to go there, I am ready to die if that's what it takes."

"I know you would want to, well, you actually need something like that."

"I don't understand."

"You think you are weak, but you are stronger than most people down there, and I believe you don't need much training right now, you need to engage in battles to get better."

"So what's the second choice?"

"I believe you know that some bird has been following you, an Owl to be specific..."

"Yes, I remember seeing it before I passed out."

"Good... That's also a beast, and, I don't know how to explain it, but that might be the best option for you right now. That bird has been following you since before you even left Hilldale."

"What makes you think that it's going to be the best option for me? I don't know who that is, whether he wants me dead or alive."

"Trust me, I have watched you for years, and I know who might want to help you and who wouldn't."

"I don't understand a thing you are saying, but I would think about it. When I come to decide, I would text you."

"Okay, it's your choice... I am going to get breakfast for you, you should rest-" Grayson was already standing up from his seat when Denzel interrupted him.

"I have no time to waste, I am out of here." While he was still speaking, Denzel pulled the needle that was in his hand away.

He clutched his fist, released it and then repeated it. Getting out of his bed, he noticed that the clothes that were on him were not his.

He didn't think about it too much before he guessed that they were Grayson's clothes.

"Thanks for the cloth by the way." Denzel walked towards the door, opened it and slammed it behind him.

Grayson said nothing. He stood, took the needle and the water bag and walked out of the room.

Denzel on getting out of the house began to get the feeling of being watched again.

At first, he chose to meet with the person, but giving it a second thought, he decided to let Ted know about it before he decided.
