"I'm pretty sure the Widow broke most of the bones on my back before it went looking for you."

"How did you even follow it?" My brother joins in question.

"I tried, that's all."

That's all.

She was injured to death, and still came for us, -tried-… and that was all she did. I was silently thanking her, for going through that pain for our sake. She didn't need to, and that had made her worthy of being named a warrior in my eyes. She was more than that to me.

Silently, I ask. "How are you walking?"

"Ah, I forgot to tell you about the healer," Emmanuel interrupts her.

"Healer?"

"Yeah, he's a local elder in this village and he came to us. He came with the village leader, they recognized Sang and healed all of us, mostly."

"He's not a sorcerer?"
