Chereads / Skyrim System in Danmachi / Chapter 8 - First week

Chapter 8 - First week

It's been a week since I started training under Tsubaki, and the first thing I noticed is that my new master is extremely casual and straightforward. The only thing she takes seriously is my training. Over the four days of my training, she has had me working with Iron and teaching me techniques for how to remove the impurities in metal and how to mold it for weapons and armor.

Over this time I have been making Iron weapons and armor and because of this my smithing skill has been leveling up rapidly. Its only been four days and my smithing has already reached Level 87. I am now level 18 and I put all of my points into smithing making it 4/10 now. Even though I learned a lot from Tsubaki, it doesn't beat the amount of knowledge I gain from the system.

I am now standing in front of the dungeon preparing to stay within for three days of non-stop fighting. My hope is to max out some of my skills before returning to the surface. I'm planning on trying to make it to the twelfth floor before my time is up. I stocked up on food and potions for my three day excursion so I won't have to worry about needing to come back to the surface until the end of my three days.

This time I am actually using two iron swords that I made and have strapped to my back.( Kiroto style) I want to get used to using two swords at once for some weapons I plan to make in the future. With that I take my steps into the dungeon. I make my way through the first floor, slaying any goblins that get in my way not wanting to waste Falna nor xp. The first floor was nothing but the next three floors are a little harder. Not because there are strong monsters bit because of the number of them as well as the introduction of a new monster called a kobold which is a dog headed monster.

They aren't really that difficult to take care of since I just keep moving and make sure they don't surround me. In case they do get the drop on me I use AW to make sure that they burn to death before they hit me. Most actually do burn before they hit but some make it through, letting me get my block skill up. After a few hours I finally make it to the entrance of the Fifth floor. Considering that I planned to reach these floors I studied about them before hand. This floor is filled with nothing bit giant killer ants. They are actually weaker than goblins but are far more numerous. They stay in packs of around twenty or fifty and when they bite they inject a paralyzing venom which makes it important to avoid being overwhelmed. Luckily I learned the magic rune traps from my Destruction skill making my life easier.
