The group had made sure that Sara had some more food to eat due to her experience with mana shock and helped her up to her room in the castle. The group didn't want to sleep outside after what had happened to them so everyone decided to share some of the rooms. Sara and Devi shared Sara's room, Rachel and Sintarra shared Tyler's room and the men all shared Xavier's room. Walking into Xavier's room for the first time since coming to this world he was shocked at the quality he had received upon entering. The room was lit well by a chandelier in the center that looked like the candles had all just been lit yet there's no way that could've been possible as he was supposed to sleep here a few days ago. The bed was a massive four-poster frame with curtains along the side and there were several layers of elegant engravings along each segment of the wood. A bench and yep chairs were set up beside a small table that looked like it would be used for eating meals in the room. There was an armoire with a fancy stool set before it for getting dressed and storing the inhabitant's clothing as well as two shirts and a pair of trousers for the awoken given the room to wear.
Along the bedside, there was an end table with a small silver bell placed in its center and Xavier couldn't help but wonder what it did. Curious about it he picked it up to examine it and the dinger hit the edge of the bell and let out a soft humming chime. Ethan looked over and sighed walking to the door and opened it to find a small man in a finely dressed suit waiting there. "Sorry Mr.Deeds we do not require your services this evening." The man nodded and Xavier could've sworn he noticed the man disappear into thin air just as the door closed. still examining the bell he raised it and noticed that the dinger was shockingly missing from the bell. Xavier was beyond confused as he knew it rang and the man responded to the sound. Not knowing how to react to this Xavier simply set the bell down and decided against touching it for the remainder of the night.
"So, we talking about tonight or just gonna shove it under the rug till tomorrow?" Tyler asked grabbing a pillow and blanket off the bed and setting a spot for him to sleep on the floor by the foot of the bed. "No not tonight, we'll be there for his interrogation tomorrow so for now rest knowing you'll be safe within the walls of the king's castle." Ethan responded also getting a pillow and blanket off the bed leaving the comforter and two last pillows for Xavier to sleep with. Xavier climbed on the bed and tossed each of them an extra pillow feeling like he wouldn't need it on the bed. "I just hope the girls aren't too afraid from this. I know I'm still a bit sketched out from tonight." Tyler nodded and hummed in agreement but Ethan looked up confused at Xavier. "Sketched? As in artists drawing?" Tyler chuckled and Xavier smiled lightly at the comment. "No, it means a feeling of uneasiness about something. Like a mix of concern and fear at a lower amount." Ethan shrugged and yawned leading the other two to yawn with him.
"Well, I say we sleeping now and worry about the rest of it tomorrow. I don't wanna think about it any more than I have to tonight." Xavier and Tyler both agreed in unison. "Yeah." And they all began to rest for the night quickly letting exhaustion lead them to sleep. As Xavier slept he tossed and turned a bit as nightmares invaded his rest. He dreamt of formless shadow killing the group he had come to be in. Its ever-changing shape encompassed Sara and Devi, their screams going mute as they faded within it. Next, it overcame Tyler and Rachel also cutting their screams short. It made its way closer to Xavier and he noticed Ethan and Sintarra walk past him to stop it but failed as they were absorbed into its essence. They failed to let out a sound as they disappeared and Xavier could feel his heart pounding in his chest, hearing each thump ring in his ears. As the form got close to Xavier he tried to run but felt a thick sludge overcome him as he was pulled into the shadow. Just as he was almost gone he shot up and was blinded by the sunlight beaming through the window focusing on the bed he was in.
It took Xavier several moments for himself to realize he was in the castle as he had never woken up in this room before. He looked to see Tyler and Ethan still asleep on the floor and was glad to see they were still there unharmed. He exited the bed and walked over to where they had left their bags and Xavier opened his examining the contents. He had his armour and clothes he came here with. Realizing they were still dirty he looked over to the silver bell again and rang it gently to not wake the others. He then walked over to the door and opened it surprised to already see the man from last night on the other side. "Oh umm hello sir. I was just wondering if you could clean these for me?" Xavier held out the clothes and the man bowed taking them from Xavier. "Of course sir, I'll return in a moment." The man then began to walk down the hall and Xavier turned back into the room to test a theory before feeling something poke his back.
Xavier jumped a bit and turned to see the man with Xavier's clothes cleaned and folded neatly in his hands. "You're clean clothing sir." Xavier looked at the clothing than the man and was surprised to see them clean after he had just handed them over. "How'd you clean them so fast?" The man simply shrugged and waited for Xavier to take them back. Xavier took the clothes back from the strange man. "Thank you, if I need anything else I'll be sure to ring." "Of course sir." The man responded and began walking again as Xavier closed the door. Curious Xavier opened it again to look down the hall and in neither direction did he see anyone at all. Unsure of what to make of this Xavier simply closed the door and chose to forget it for the time being.
Instead, Xavier began to test the limits of his interface a bit before the others awoke. Xavier imagined the box before him and was relieved to see the interface appear before his face. He went through the inventory and imagined the items in his hands entering it. To his surprise, they simply faded away and looking at his inventory the otherworldly clothes were there and unequipped. Xavier then went over to the armour that was in the bag, repeated the process and saw the two separate pieces of armour in his inventory. Xavier then imagined himself changing clothes and seeing the clothing he had been wearing from his earliest memories here and with a soft glow over his body they appeared on him. Xavier checked the inventory and the simple clothes he had been wearing were now unequipped and the otherworldly clothes were now on him. Xavier for comfort's sake decided to leave the weapon attached at his hip equipped in case it was ever needed again. Xavier then went over to the clothing in the armoire and added that to his inventory as well.
Xavier then went over to the bed and laid down again resting on his back while he waited for the others to wake up. To pass the time he took the notebook out of his pocket and began reading over them to remind himself of everything he had written down. As the sun began to rise and the day began Xavier could hear voices from the hall outside the room. Hearing the voices must have led the other two on the floor to wake up as he heard them moving and making sounds of grogginess from the ground. "You two awake now?" Xavier asked them to hear a synced. "No." Xavier laughed and got up helping Tyler up then walked over to Ethan to help him as well. "So do you think we should get the girls now or let them find us at the feast hall?" Ethan sighed and slapped his stomach. "My stomach says feed me. I say let them find us if they're even awake yet." Tyler smiled and pumped his fist as if he had a victory. "Breakfast right away. To the food." Ethan And Xavier laughed and the three of them all left the room making their way towards the feast hall ready to fill their stomachs after a stressful night.
