Max is still training his new cyborg arm while the Black Merchant then approaches him as he sees Max's progress after does his work.
" It was such a splendid arm .... " Black Merchant M says to him.
" Indeed .... " Max counters as he tells that thanks to Rangga, he may have some arsenals to fight some random monsters if somehow there's a Gate Outbreak.
" Even though there's a possibility it will, I pray that it will not happen .... "
" Again .... " Max says as he tells the Black Merchant about his worries.
" Not to worry VIP Max ... "
" After all, the Diviners and the heroes had made sure that the Gates won't be penetrated as they hold its leak. "
" So the Gates will likely stay the same since the Gate can only be entered by humans, not the monsters .... " Black Merchant M tells Max.
As he tells that, the Black Merchant then changes the topic as he asks about Rangga which Max then smiles as he then tells the Black Merchant about everything.
" You are sure very had good information from your mouth, VIP Max ..? "
" Do you think it's wise to reveal your 'friend's secrets like that? " he asks.
" Well, I already talked with him earlier before coming here about what parts of his life I should tell you if you ask some things about him. " Max says truthfully.
" Since he already knew about your vow as the Black Merchant to [Never reveal your VIP's secret to anyone]. "
" Not even to the Divine themselves .... " Max says to him as both of them discussed more the topic which made Black Merchant M's interest be triggered.
" Interesting .... an event that turns back time ... " he says.
" It's an interesting theory about our world, .... and it seems I've read this before in some media as it was called .... "
" Hmm ... what is it? "
" Regression ... or Regressor perhaps, " Max says.
" Yes, that .... that .... one ..... was it right? " Black Merchant M asks Max as he wonders if he's correct about it.
" Maybe ..... " Max answers since he doesn't actually the type who reads a comic's text or some sort as he tells the Black Merchant that it could be said that all beings in this universe are all basically regressors.
" But .... if that's true ... then "
" Why ... ? "
" Why we didn't remember anything about our previous lives right? " Max completes the question as he tells the Black Merchant that the answer is simple which is.
" Our memories are being erased .... "
" By the very beings that we all mainly worshipped as gods," Max says as he states the answer based on what he sees in Rangga's mind back when they first met as he shares some of it with Black Merchant M.
As Max tells them that, he then explains to Black Merchant M that the memories of all beings from the previous Timelines are being robbed by the Diviners as they used them to plan their mistakes in ruling the Universe.
Based on Rangga's hypothesis, the reason why the Diviners do that is the constant war between them and the Deviants had left them overwhelmed with the need for an effective win as they were also trapped in this constant repetition.
While Max explains to him that, Black Merchant M then wonders why the Diviners just do not let the time flows as usual since technically if they continue the flow of time then they will be also freed from this called [Universal Reboot].
" Indeed .... " Max tells him.
" Even now, Rangga and his previous timeline selves haven't found out the answer behind this reboot stuff .... "
" Like how's the process, how does it work, who created it, and more, more, more questions than even now still becomes a mystery. " Max says as he explains to Black Merchant M his personal questions regarding it while still trying to be adapted with his new arm.
" But Max .... " Black Merchant M asks him.
" Why do you even involve in all of this stuff ...? " he asks.
" Knowing you, you're not the type of guy that wants to deal with other people's problems, aren't you? " Black Merchant M says as he was curious for Max being all of his ways to support someone for the first time.
FYI, before Max meets Rangga, Max is actually a troublesome Metapunk that roamed the streets. At that time, Max is known to be a loner as he always shows himself to be more powerful than others, not only by his strong-boned fists back then but also by the Telepath that allows him to control other people which allows him to easily make havoc other Metapunk gangs.
But sadly, every star sometimes had to be swallowed by regrets as Max back then tries to challenge another Metapunk who is known to have a great Tier V power which is the son of Energero, Ardan as Ardan back then destroys both of his arms with his Energy Blast which makes Max like he is now.
....
" So what ...? " Max asks the Black Merchant.
"Does that really concern you in some way..? " Max asks while staring at him.
As he stares, Max's eyes show that he is not in the mood to talk about the past but still he answers the Black Merchant that the reason he joined Rangga with his plan is that he was interested in it and hopes to be enlisted in every Rangga's plan since somehow found joy about this revelation.
" For a son of the two great heroes (Truthseeker and Memoir) ... "
" I was taught to only believe in the truth and justice only .... " Max says.
" But sadly, even though my parents told me that .... "
" Both of them are foolish enough to sometimes believe everything based on what they know and see as many people ... "
" Even sometimes, both of them could fanatically support the acts of the horrible kind of people in the society since they were all related to the Gods (Diviners). "
" That's why I despise them for it, as they were blind to the real facts .... " Max says as he confirms to the Dark Merchant that the memories he sees from Rangga's brain are all real as he is very pro on determining which memory is real or not real.
" On top of that .... "
" You could determine it's the real deal because .. "
" Usually .... "
" The people who tell the truth, usually never try to make other people believe that his words are true ... " Max says
" Since the world itself already support him with the available facts that definitely support their truths ... "
" That's why I believed him .... " Max says as he looks to the Black Merchant which the Black Merchant then thinks about it.
" Interesting. "
