My mother, father, and the King come in with Kayden at the back. He looks at me with a glance of warning telling me not to mess around, the knights get the message too.
The King clears his voice, "Sir Helio, it seems that you've successfully captured the Capital."
I bow and answer, "Yes my lord-"
"Three months ahead of time, and you decided not to tell your parents?" His look intensifies.
I breathe, thinking of a way to explain this situation.
"I believed in my parents ability and connections that they'd be able to figure it out, I would have told them personally if not for my assumptions."
My mother scowls, "Stop lying you sly devil! I'm sure that you knew that we didn't know right from the start!"
The king turns around to my mother, "Lady Rhea, I ask that you keep your emotions out of our conversation. We already have your opinion on this matter."
My mom steps back not to anger the King.
"If I may, I have more to share on this matter. I am not sure if your majesty knows what happens in our household but I'd like to share." I add.
The King thinks and answers, "You may speak."
"My parents deem me as unworthy of attention outside the family, that is why many of our familia's achievements are actually because of me."
The King turns around to my parents. "Is that so?"
"Insolence, I will disown this lunatic for having you here such blasphemy!"
My heart starts to heat up, my head boiling filled with resentment.
I sigh slowly, "Then allow me to prove how it was I who achieved such accomplishments."
I begin to explain firstly how my familia has been handing down my achievements down to siblings in fear that the public would learn that me, the mistake, is actually more capable than the familia heads. The King's eye's rise as I explain in detail the fabricated lies my family has passed to the public.My parents ever so often kiss they teeth and get angered but the King stops them from making advances
When I finish the King is both bewildered and in disbelief that one of the Kingdom's most prominent familia's is obsessed with upholding an image. It is well known how all familias no matter their social standing must put the Kingdom's interest in front of their own.
The King, obviously enraged by this un-veil of information.
Asks my parents, "It seems to me that this matter is over. As of this moment Rhea and Adamn Leios are to be stripped of their statuses as heads of the Leios familia. The discussion regarding the new head will be held tomorrow at the Capital's hall of conference. I suggest you not be late Sir Helio."
I bow towards the King as he walks out, "Thank you for the suggestion my lord."
Once the King is out of ear reach, my parents charge at me as my knights are escorting the King outside.
The pressure in the air increases and my parents and I all know what comes next I grab my swords as whirlpools of water form around my mother as she uses her unique skill "Water cannon". The whirlpools chase after me as I run across the room to close in on her, the sounds of rushing waves intensifies as they get closer alongside immement pain. I cast an air blast to counter the whirlpools but a few still connect with my legs and arms, rendering me nealy unable to even kneel. My father also begins his attacks with his earth magic, summoning multiple vines to entrap me and snare me up for them to finish off with a swing of their swords.
I somehow manage to hold them off using my blue fire magic but they begin to close the distance. I activate my dark magic, the urge to kill intensifies and my body runs rampant with energy.
I charge at them and knock my mother aside while dodging my fathers strike downward, he immediately follows with a swing towards my right arm. I barely manage with a slight cut before I catch my landing, prepared to take another barge of attacks. My mother gets up and goes for my neck, I sidestep easily while my father attempts to catch me off guard with a disarmament and he manages to knock the sword out my left hand.
The reaper's power enragges and my eyes see red, in a blast of pure dark essence I knock my father out the window and turn to my mother. She yells and charges while summoning enough water magic to supply a city. The magic comes almost in an instance piercing my left shoulder; lower calf; upper right arm; and my torso.
I cry out in pain as I put all my energy into the upcoming clash of our blades, steam forming from the force used. In a flash of black and blue an explosion of noise comes over us, my mother glaring into my eyes as she tries to overpower me and finish me off. I loosen my sword and turn my body as hers tips over from the exerted force, out of balance I knock her out with a simple jab with the butt of my sword.
The King and my knights come rushing in just as I finish, gazing upon my bloodstained body and my knocked out parents. I manage to stand but my body gives out, I begin to cough blood and the boost from the dark magic disappears, I feel limp and fall to the ground as my hands let go of my sword. The others in the room rush to catch me as the King calls in his guards. After they put me on a stretcher the King follows until I'm put into a carriage, he asks "Can you explain what happened right now at the conference? I'll change the date by two days to accommodate your wounds."
My words barely come out like wisps of steam from a cold night, "Y-yes."
I quickly pass out after that and fall into a deep sleep.
