In the Diamond Casino,
In Red long dress, she walked into the casino. Elijah's big green eyes were filled with liner. She had big natural curved lashes which could fascinate anyone. Men in the casino turned to stare at her elegance, she was so desirable, so glamorous.
A light smile spread on her red lips being noticeable, she loved to be the center of attention.
"Lucas! How is the game going?" Elijah put her gorgeous artistic hand on Lucas's shoulder who was observing the games deeply. He didn't remove his gaze for a minute to look at Elijah. She spent so much time beautifying herself just to get his attention.
There was a lady, playing cards with Lucas. Elijah felt awkward, she read the mocking expression of that lady.
Elijah tried to hide her embarrassment inside her deep smile and stood beside Lucas's chair silently not to disturb his play. She knew if she interrupted him again, he could insult her in another second.
Abruptly, Elijah's sight dropped on a man who was in the black suit. Her eyes widened with amazement she was unable to believe it. All her fake smiles shrank.
"What's he doing here?" She knew him very nicely.
"How does he know about this Casino? which kind of storm did he bring with him this time?" Remembering the past, She was confused about his arrival in the Casino.
"Don't show me your face again or else I will tear you into pieces. Nobody will ever recognize you." His threat at their last meeting echoed in her ears. She got a sweat on her forehead.
"Do! Don't look here." She prayed inside but sometimes our prayers didn't work as we wished. His eyes found her, they made eye contact after a long time. She looked into his chocolate eyes.
He took steps toward her, she was stunned. She didn't dare to face him, so she looked down. His gaze was so intense, that she grasped her dress in her fist. She wanted to disappear from that place so he couldn't look at her. She looked in his direction again to check on him but he was not there.
"Mam! Have some drinks." Someone offered her a glass of Scotch. She took it and she sighed in relief that he was just her illusion. It tasted odd but she drank it in one gulp.
She received a call from her father.
"Alright! I will be there." She said and headed to the outside of the Casino. The driver was watching her walk outside the Casino.
"Mam!" He opened the door for her immediately.
Usually, whenever her father called her over to his mansion. He sent a Black Mercedes to pick her up.
She got into the car. She felt her head was heavy. Everything seems blurry to her. Her lashes were so heavy she couldn't open her eyes. Her eyes twitched and she closed her eyes.
In the Casino.
Lucas's phone was ringing but he was deeply involved in playing cards. He didn't notice the ring.
"I have lost again." Lucas burned inside in anger. It was the third time he couldn't win a single bet from a woman. He was frustrated with himself, defeated by a woman hurting his ego.
"Defeat is written in your Destiny." The woman taunted and left the chair.
"What rubbish!..." Lucas gazed at her.
"Nothing! First, you need to know how to play games, then dare to play with a pro player. Maybe, you can win the first round but when the pro comes back. You all will be doomed." Looking into his eyes, she cut him off and turned to leave.
He clenched his fist in frustration."Bitch!" He said it while gazing at her back. His voice was low but she listened to him.
"Same word goes for your wife." She smirked and moved forward.
He took out his phone from his pocket to receive the call.
"Who is the son of a jerk?" He looked at the phone. It was Elijah's father, Eric.
"Why is he calling me? Hello!" Firstly Lucas was irritated to attend his phone call but he had to receive the call.
"Lucas! I told you to send Elijah home. Why is Elijah not home yet?" Eric asked worriedly from the other side.
"She had gone." Lucas replied.
"Did she certainly walk out of the casino?"
"Yeah! She had left the casino by that car sent by you. She is not with me right now." He was drowned in the game. How could he know where she was suffering at that time.
"Two hours have passed since I sent the car." Eric shouted.
"Call the driver." Lucas was bored of Eric.
"The driver's phone is switched off and Elijah is not receiving the call, that's why I call you Lucas." Eric shouted at the impassive man.
"Hey! Low your voice. Do you forget who my father is?" Lucas narrowed his eyes.
"You are a son of a gangster. If something happens to my daughter I will forget whose bastard son you are. You know it better." His ironic words boiled the blood of Lucas. Eric warned him and ended the phone call.
In Eric's Mansion,
"Lucas! My daughter is an obstacle between you and me. I can send you hell. I can do this, you know me well." Eric was walking restlessly in the living hall. He dialled Elijah's phone number again. One of his men entered the bungalow.
"Do you get any information about Elijah?" He asked immediately. He was eager to listen to anything about Elijah.
"Boss! The thing is…. you can see yourself." His man handed him the iPad hesitantly.
It was the website of a news channel, showing footage of a tragedy on that night.
Police got a devastating car on the road. It seemed the explosion was all plotted. someone did this deliberately.
"Why are you showing…" Eric's eyes and heart were frozen when he saw the Mercedes sent by him to bring Elijah in the video. They recorded the driver's dead body in the front seat of the car. He was shot.
Eric hired guards to keep Elijah safe, their duty was to follow Elijah's car wherever she went even with her husband. The cars which used to protect Elijah were devastated by the blast.
"Please! No! Not my daughter." Eric's heart was exploding in the chest as the video moved further. He hoped not to see his daughter's funeral.
Thankfully, Elijah is not found dead in the car. She was missing. Eric sighed.
"If she is not in the car. That means she is seized by someone." Eric suspected.
"All our cars are bulletproof. How could they kill the driver and the abduction of Elijah madam?" His man was confused.
"Car's glass is bulletproof but if you fire dozens of shots on the same target area again and again. Definitely, the glass will break." A voice, his chuckles echoed in Eric's ear.
