The breeze filled my lungs taking my mind to an old memory, that I thought I had buried it years ago. That pain was almost the thing that killed me.
Once in the city, I was able to find my way easily: the trouble was not being caught. All over the city's buildings was my face, I was only filled with burning rage… or was it fear. Anyway, my heart was throbbing from the thought of getting out of this red X on my back; how was I going to get everyone out alive with me?
"We're here." We had arrived at a very odd house with a similar architecture to the houses in my life. But it didn't fit in amongst the rest of the houses that looked really fancy and tacky. Lily was very odd but Scarlet still caught my attention with three simultaneous soft clicks. The door flung open revealing a plain beige wallpaper and long narrow hallway which split into four separate rooms.
Each oak door revealed clean flooring with dust-infested furniture but nothing interesting. At the last door I could hear a faint whispering of something; I couldn't figure out what it was, but I knew it was there. The room was as empty as the cold and empty vacuum of space, only a lonely bookshelf gave the room company. The shelves were almost baron and dominated by dust, but there was one book completely cleansed from dust. The book was somewhat familiar to me; the name was in clear sky blue text 'Shadow in the stars'. I couldn't remember the book clearly but it made me feel like there was a hole in my memory; and every time I got close to an answer it somehow eludes me. The Author's name was partly obscured by an unknown entity of nature. Returning the book back to it's throne in the shelf
*Ping*
As soon as the book was placed back the shelf popped out at me, Six was the first to examine the scenery behind the shelf. After pulling the hidden door way out into the light, Scarlet led the expedition down the iron framed staircase. The movement caused the motion sensors to turn on the industrial style lights; and lighting the place up like Christmas. The room was the most sterile thing I had ever seen in my overcomplicated twisted hell of a life.
Six was over by another door but this was made of a clear marble material that matched the aesthetic of the room. Next to it there was a finger print scanner and lock, which scarlet was all ready having a go at. The thumb print was the easy bit for me however. After placing my thumb on the scanner, I could hear the binary code scrambling up but when I found the source code that unlocked the door it was a breeze.
*beep*
Six look almost captivated by the scene and looked as if he was making mental notes but I also heard the desperate cries of Nine on the neural network. Ah, finally some bitter sweet comedy.
