Scott McCall had a dream that he sneaked onto a school bus after-hours with his crush Allison Argent in order to hook up with her, only to transform shortly after they began making out and lose control, mauling and presumably killing her.
Scott was unnerved by how vivid and realistic the dream was, and when he was explaining the dream to his best friend, Stiles Stilinski, at school the next morning, he was horrified to see that the bus had been torn up and covered in blood splatter, implying that the dream actually happened in real life. However, when Allison showed up to school completely fine, Scott, though relieved to know he didn't actually kill her, was still panicking, believing he was still the attacker.
In class, Scott and the other students took notice of the paramedics wheeling out a bloodied man on a stretcher, revealing that there had, in fact, been a victim of the mauling, it just wasn't Allison. The students all discussed it at lunch, where they speculated about the type of animal that could have caused it, most not knowing that it was actually perpetrated by a Werewolf, when Stiles brought up a news clip on his phone that revealed the victim was named Garrison Myers. Scott recognized him as his old bus driver from when he lived with his father, Rafael McCall.
Amidst the dimly lit room, the tension was palpable. The heavy silence was broken only by the muffled sounds of the city outside. Derek and Alex, engrossed in the disturbing news of the assault on bus driver Garrison Myers, seemed to be at the epicenter of a storm about to erupt.
With a swift, deliberate motion, Alex reached for a folder from his cluttered desk. Without hesitation, he tossed the folder towards Derek. Derek's reflexes kicked in, his fingers grasping it mid-air, the weight of its contents evident.
Alex explained "Garrison Myers. Remember that name? He's intricately tied to the Hale House Fire, right alongside Gerard Argent and a web of other collaborators."
The lines on Derek's face deepened, his jaw clenching as he slowly unfurled the folder. The room seemed to darken further, shadows dancing ominously, as Alex continued to unravel the sinister tale "Delve deeper, and you'll find that Myers was no mere bystander. He was the insurance adjuster on the Hale House Fire case. But here's the twist: he was ousted amidst swirling allegations of fraud. It appears he was in cahoots with Gerard, manipulating his professional standing to veil the arson that Gerard and his allies perpetrated."
Amid the sea of documents, Derek's gaze was drawn to two recurring names: Reddick and Unger.
With a penetrating stare, he turned to Alex and questioned "Could this be mere coincidence ? A Hale House Fire conspirator becoming prey to a werewolf?"
Alex, pausing to weigh his words, responded, "Possibly. Yet, should either Reddick or Unger face a similar fate, it would strongly hint that the Alpha orchestrating these attacks has intimate, unsettling ties to your Hale family."
Derek looked thoughtful and asked"Given they are able to go so far for our family, why would they endanger themselves by targeting Laura?"
Alex with a solemnity in his voice, replied, "Revenge, Derek, It often demands a show of strength. Becoming an Alpha amplifies that power. The allure of power, of becoming an Alpha, drove the person. In their mind, Laura was but a mere pawn, a regrettable casualty in their grander scheme."
A feral growl resonated from deep within Derek, the sound echoing ominously in the room. His fist tightened, knuckles white with suppressed rage and burgeoning resolve, and muttered"I don't care if this person is taking revenge for the Hales, but he dare touch my sister."
Alex nodded and agreed with Derek on this and whispered "Touching Laura was that persons mistake."
