Chapter 3 - Sorry, I Won

The unpleasant words reminded Olivia of the humiliation he had given her in her previous life.

Olivia gnashed her teeth, but her smile didn't falter. "President Ford, you think too highly of yourself. I was accepted by 'Omen' because of my merits. My appearance here has nothing to do with you."

Brian was stunned, and his gaze was cold. He muttered, "I underestimated you."

His gaze landed on the pendant and became slightly unclear.

Indeed, he knew about the existence of the pendant. It seemed that she had made the right bet!

Olivia inwardly sighed in relief, but her expression remained calm and innocent.

"I'm flattered that President Ford had an estimation of me." The smile on Olivia's face widened.

Sophia, who was in the crowd, trembled in anger when she saw the intimate scene between the two of them. Her eyes were filled with hatred, and she wished she could swallow Olivia whole.

However, the show had just begun!

Olivia kept the scissors. When she left, a wisp of clear ash suddenly fell on her shoulder. She subconsciously looked up and realized that there was something wrong with the lamp overhead.

Just as she was about to take a closer look, the lamp suddenly fell quickly. Olivia frowned as her thoughts raced.

Was this Sophia's plot?

She spun on her toes and dodged to the side, but just as she turned her eyes, she saw an angry figure walking over and was about to reach the bottom of the lamp.

She frowned and was about to berate the person when the lamp spun in the air and the light shot into her eyes.

The blinding white light pulled her memories back to that night. An intense sound of brakes suddenly rang out in Olivia's mind: A heavy object landed on the ground with a loud bang. Her child was lying under the car, covered in blood. The scene of her weakly calling out "Mommy" made Olivia tremble all over.

The people on the stage also realized that something was wrong. Brian watched as Olivia stood stiffly on the stairs. The lamp was about to hit her, but because of the height of the stage, he did not see another person walking up.

"Damn it! What is this woman doing!?"

He moved faster than he thought, but suddenly, Olivia growled, "No! Mia, my child, no! Don't leave Mommy!"

She pushed that person away with all her might. A loud bang resounded before Olivia blacked out and fainted.

The scene fell into chaos. A pair of resentful eyes stared fixedly at the fainted Olivia with a flash of umbrage among the fleeing crowd.

The warm sun shone through the green leaves and reflected on the glass window, forming rainbow spots of light from the corner of his eyes on the white bedsheets in the room.

The woman's eyes were tightly shut, and her body was trembling. Veins appeared on her forehead, and she suddenly stretched out her hands to grab the air.

"Mia!"

Olivia's eyes widened as she stared blankly at the somewhat familiar room in front of her. For a moment, she was in a trance. Her child was no longer here. She had been reborn, but she still wanted Mia to be born to make up for her regret.

She took a deep breath and realized that several doctors were standing around her, busy with their work.

Wasn't… Wasn't this the estate of the Ford family?

Was she brought back by Brian?

Everyone knew that Brian was a clean freak and never brought women back to his own home. What was this?

Just as she was thinking about this, the door was pushed open. Brian, who was wearing a navy blue suit, walked in. After seeing that Olivia was awake, he dismissed the doctor.

As she watched the doctors leave and saw Brian's unpleasant expression, Olivia subconsciously retreated. Even if she was stupid, she could tell that this man was angry again.

"Scared?"

Brian laughed mockingly before stepping forward and grabbing Olivia's neck. Gnashing his teeth, he glared at her as though he wanted to tear this woman apart the next second.

"You sure are ruthless to yourself. Did you think that I would treat you differently just because you used this self-harming ploy? Who do you think you are!?"

As he said that, Brian's hand suddenly moved downward. "Since you like the feeling from last time so much, I'll fulfill your wish one more time. However, get lost immediately afterward. You're not allowed to appear in front of me!"

Olivia felt his large hand reaching into her clothes. It was not like this in her previous life!

She panicked and glared at Brian angrily.

"Let go of me!"

Brian laughed mockingly. "Isn't this what you want? You want to be a whore, but you still want to act innocent?"

His touch was warm and smooth. The moment he touched her, Brian was reminded of that night a month ago.

He clearly hated being touched, and this woman in front of him clearly had terrible skills, yet she could always arouse the beast in his heart.

Olivia could clearly feel Brian's movements becoming heavier. She clenched her fists and tried her best to remain calm.

"Brian! Since you've already fired Jack, you should know that I was one of the victims of the previous incident. I was also drugged! Why do you think all women want to sleep with you!"

Olivia stared straight at Brian, her pretty face looking tense.

Brian frowned slightly when he saw the disgust that flashed past her eyes. This woman was quite capable!

He let go of Olivia's hand, but his expression remained ugly. He stood up and looked down at her like a king. "Since you don't want to sleep with me, why do you keep appearing in front of my face?"

Brian mocked Olivia mercilessly. "Has anyone ever told you that every lie you tell is very obvious and revolting?"

"Because the truth is hard to prove while lies are usually made perfect. I've said it before, I wasn't the one who drugged you."

Olivia raised her head to look at him, neither servile nor overbearing. A complicated look flashed across her eyes.

When facing Brian, Olivia had an indescribable feeling. Although she had married him in her previous life, Brian had not been willing to marry her back then.

That was why he was always cold and heartless, never caring. The only thing worth mentioning was that he had been treating their child, Mia, well.

Brian obviously knew that it wasn't Olivia who had drugged him, and she didn't have the ability to do so. However, her appearance at the ribbon-cutting ceremony was too much of a coincidence, so he couldn't help but suspect her.

Especially just now…

"Little girl, I heard you're awake?" A familiar voice rang out. Olivia looked over in surprise.

James Ford brought the doctor in. When he saw that Olivia had really woken up, his old face immediately blossomed into a smile. The daughter of his former benefactor had saved him once again today. This affinity was really deep.

"Girl, are you feeling unwell anywhere?"

Looking at the lively old man in front of her, the tip of Olivia's nose turned red. In her previous life, this old man had protected her in all ways, but she had done so many things that disappointed him…

James, also known as Commander Ford, was the most prestigious old man in the Ford family, and Olivia's birth mother, Stacey, had saved him when he was young. He had arranged a marriage with her mother and given her a cross pendant so that he could find her in the future.

However, her mother had died too suddenly, so the two of them broke off contact. Olivia had been arrogant and despotic in her previous life, and even her mother probably felt that she wasn't worthy of the Ford family, so she had never mentioned it.

She had only been ten years old when she received her mother's belongings. She had simply not liked this ugly pendant and had thrown it into the trunk.

If Olivia hadn't seen Sophia show off the pendant in front of her before dying, she would probably still be kept in the dark now.

When she thought of this, Olivia's tone subconsciously softened. "I'm—"

James pushed the doctor beside him before she could finish speaking. "What are you waiting for? Have you checked this girl carefully? Have you checked her entire body? Is there any problem?"

The doctor quickly opened the medical report to show that Olivia only had a slight concussion, but he added, "Actually, she's pregnant."

"What? Pregnant!?"
