Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: Banishment

The humans had grown powerful, their potential realized as they harnessed the power of the ancient beasts through the art of summoning. But with great power came great responsibility, and the humans failed to uphold this responsibility. They let their greed, lust, wrath, envy, sloth, pride, and gluttony consume them and ravage the land.

The creatures of the divine realm of the Chaos Tree watched in horror as the humans destroyed the balance of the world. The dwarves were forced to flee their caves, the elves and dryads were driven out of the forest, and the oceans and lakes were polluted. The dragons and phoenixes were hunted to near extinction and the ghost and undead were disturbed in their eternal rest.

The Chaos Tree, the mother of all creatures, could no longer bear to watch her children suffer. She summoned the Green Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird, Black Tortoise, and the twin Yellow Dragon and Kirin to her side. Together, they decided to banish the humans from the divine realm.

The Green Dragon flew to the east, where the sun rose, and unleashed a massive lightning storm that struck the humans' cities and settlements. The White Tiger growled menacingly towards the west, where the sun had set, and unleashed a fierce wind that swept the humans away. The Vermillion Bird, encapsulated in fire, glided elegantly towards the south and burned the humans' crops and fields.

The Black Tortoise dove towards the north, where it summoned the boundless heaviness of the ocean and the icy cold gaze of ice, to freeze the humans' homes and possessions. The twin Yellow Dragon and Kirin, immovable as the zillion years of mountain, summoned the depthness and heaviness of earth to bury the humans' cities and settlements.

The humans were banished from the divine realm, never to return. The Chaos Tree and the ancient beasts restored balance to the world and the creatures of the land could once again live in harmony. But the humans were not forgotten, for they were a reminder of the importance of responsibility and the dangers of letting one's sins consume them.
