Chapter 72 - A timely letter.

"Alright, this is the final touch. Do you think I went a little overboard?" Asked Luminous to Roy who was standing behind her.

"..."

"I'll take that as a no." Luminous said as she began to spin around in happiness.

"Alright, send out the invitations."

*Chomp*

"Who's a good boy?"

We were currently in a large field and Lina was playing catch with Ranga. The primordials had left to begin their capture of the western nations that were involved with Granbell and had assisted in their attack.

I wanted to hold off from doing any big moves while we were in the process of expanding. And since everything was progressing smoothly in the country we had earned ourselves some free time.

I turned to Zegion who was holding a blue butterfly on his finger and was deep in thought.

"Whatcha thinking?"

"I dreamt I was a butterfly." He said in his neutral tone of voice. Yet I noticed something else in his voice.

"Rough week?"

"...Sort of"

"I have heard you have been putting in a lot of work. You know, it is just as important to rest as it is to work hard. I'm proud of you already, so don't overwork yourself too much."

I looked at the butterfly in his fingers.

"I see you like illusions."

The butterfly in his fingers began to flutter its wings before it began to multiply as hundreds of butterflies began to fly away.

"I do. I feel as if I am creating something, though I know it isn't real it almost feels as if it is."

"It has been a while since I have taught you something new, hasn't it? You already know this, but a part of my power runs through you. Maybe I should give you a small push in the right direction. Pay attention to my magicules."

I plucked a blade of grass from the ground before continuing.

"You already have the general gist of it with your illusions."

I activated an illusion that changed the grass into a butterfly.

"And, while you don't have full access to what I have, the main thing to focus on is your will and desire. Those are the two pillars of creation."

The moment I said that the butterfly glowed before becoming a real butterfly that began to fly away.

In the distance, I could see Silk frantically running towards us with Shuna walking behind her. She was carrying some clothing in her hand.

"Big sis Shuna taught me how to make better clothing! I made all of us some scarves."

She began to pass us one scarf each before running off to the rest to hand them their scarves. Apito and Hinata stopped their sparring once they received theirs. Kumara, who was playing with the animals she could summon from her tails had received 10 scarves total. One for herself and for each of the summoned monsters. And so on.

On another side of the world, the situation was not so relaxing. After all, the primordials had started to work.

"Hehehe, well it has been fun playing. Now tell me, are you finally going to agree? If you make me lose the race I will make sure to come back and make your life miserable Mr. King." said Testarrosa while laughing mischievously.

A man was on the ground with some injuries in his body. All around him were the bodies of dead guards. Their bodies were covered in what appeared to be expensive armor. The man wiped the blood on his face before spitting towards the white-haired woman.

"You crazy demon, you come into my kingdom and demand me to give my power away to that crazy monster. Has he gone so crazy that he is trying to take over the world for no reason? I know that the church has made an alliance with your empire, but by attacking me you are declaring war on the church as well. Our kingdom has been allied with the Western Holy Church for centuries now, if you think they will choose you over us you are a fool."

A sadistic expression appeared on her face before she began talking.

"No reason you say…"

She began to list the names and positions of high-standing members and warriors of the kingdom. Most of them had received direct permission from the king himself to assist by sending troops or by directly attacking Tempest along with Granbell.

"Should I go on? I think this is a good enough reason for our actions."

The king's eyes widened as he heard what she said.

"You… How did you?"

"Give up Aegil. Your god has abandoned you and you know it. Your guild has abandoned you and has sided with Tempest. You have nothing protecting you anymore. If it wasn't for my lord's order not to cause too much trouble you would be dead at this moment."

It was with those words that the final barriers holding the king together broke. The king was feeling true fear in his heart. And it was with that fear that the skill of the primordials activated, Temptation.

Feeling the control she now had she gave a smile.

"Rejoice, for your kingdom of Englisia will see a new golden age. And you will get to experience the first part of it with your own eyes. Once a new king has been selected by my lord we will decide what to do with you and your lineage."

Testarossa turned around and spoke to the one behind her.

"Let's go, Moss. We get to brag, I mean, assist my siblings. We should probably start with Carrera. She can be quite… Messy"

And so, the western nations had experienced an event like no other. One by one, each of the kingdoms was met with an unstoppable force, leaving their only choice to be to surrender.

The few brave kingdoms who had tried to put up a fight had not even been able to alert the rest of the nation that an attack of sorts was happening. And not too long after they were completely under the control of one of the primordials.

The citizens were none the wiser as to what was happening and the news that their kingdoms were going to join the Tempest Empire came as a shock. But with so many of them acting at the same time it seemed as if it had been a decision that was taken after a long and careful consideration.

The primordials who had done the majority of the work left subordinates in their place to manage what would happen in the near future. Appearing in the middle of the field the four primordials appeared with Diablo holding onto a few letters.

"My lord, our work is practically complete. All it takes is some time and the west will be yours. When we stopped at Tempest before coming here I was told that I should deliver this letter to you and some of the people currently present."

I gave the primordials a few congratulatory words before opening the letter that had quite the formal tone until it reached the postscripts.

"~Dear Rimuru,

I am pleased to announce that the preparations for Choronoa are complete.

Since you are one of our Honored guests you will be allowed to bring as many plus ones as you wish….

...This event will happen in five days…

P.s. Yayyyyyyy it's timeeeee

P.p.s Wow, guessing by how many new churches are being built are you also going to go the god route. Well, as a more experienced god I welcome you to godhood.

P.p.p.s How has Hinata been doing? She hasn't caused any trouble, right?

P.p.p.p.s I have a lot of many more things to say but I should probably just talk in person instead of adding more p.s. See you soon.

-Sincerely, your fellow god and demon lord, Luminous Valentine."
