Chapter 69 - Nice.

I took a look at Rain. I was going to ask Guy why he was doing this even though we had agreed the only thing the winner would get was bragging rights. But hey, free primordial is something you should never decline.

"Sure."

"Yes!'' said Rain with a happy tone as she pumped her fist.

"Well then, now that we are done, should we head back to Tempest?" I asked the people around me.

"Erm, you don't want to fight again?" Guy asked

"Oh! I want to fight him too." Velzard exclaimed.

"How about we fight a bit later, I don't wanna get too carried away."

"I just remembered I was supposed to talk to my brother. Could you show me where he is when we go back?"

"Sure, I ended up having to clear my schedule after I heard you both arrived so I have time. Wanna take a tour?"

At that moment Rain spoke up.

"Um, I have to pack up my stuff if I am moving, would it be alright if I stayed behind with Mizeri?"

"Take your time, just teleport to Tempest when you are done."

I had to edit my schedule to add "Possible war with Guy" so everything I had planned for the day got thrown out the window. But I always enjoyed a walk through the city, Guy seemed intrigued by most of the things around and Velzard seemed strangely familiar with the place.

Guy already knew of Ramiri's being in my city so it wasn't that big a deal for them to enter the Labyrinth where Veldora was currently hiding. The reason was made clear the moment the two dragon siblings met up.

"Hohoho little bro, are my eyes fooling me, or is it possible that you have learned how to behave? You have been out for a while now but I haven't heard any news of you rampaging anywhere."

Velzard said while speaking to a cardboard box that just happened to be in the middle of the room.

A small sigh was heard before the box lifted a little and Veldora's head popped out like he was a turtle.

"Hi there, I was busy practicing a special technique. I didn't even notice you were there. I would love to talk to you but I am currently in the middle of a project. Would it be possible for us to talk at a later date?"

Velzard raised her eyebrow at how well-spoken Veldora was talking and just stared at him quietly for a moment. In response, the storm dragon went under the box again and emerged again while holding a different notecard.

"My elegant and great sister, it seems the time is simply not appropriate, I must apologize for the inconvenience."

Velzard noticed the notecard in his hand and began to approach him with a dangerous smile. Panicking, Veldora tried to back away only to flip the box where he was hiding revealing a large number of notecards. He randomly grabbed one and read it out loud.

"Ice to see you again, looking Cool!"

At that moment Velzard reached him and said.

"Why don't we catch up?"

With a panicked look, Veldora looked at me and spoke with thought communication

I appeared behind Velzard and stopped her.

"Actually, why don't we have Veldora join us, he has been doing some things around town too so why not?"

Velzard put on a thoughtful expression for a second before she gave a smile and said

"Sure. I am curious what he has been up to."

And so the four of us began to explore the town, saving Veldora from getting beat up. As it became nighttime again we ended up returning to the capitol building in Tempest. Working as an intermediary I was able to help ou Veldora in the background not to say something stupid.

He had told me of his memories from the past and how the only person he was scared of was his sister. He told me her teaching methods were quite… Violent. And so ever since he had gained consciousness after coming back to life he had been tiptoeing around her trying not to get killed once again.

Guy on the other hand seemed interested in everything around the city and was not very talkative as if he had a lot on his mind. Now that we were eating he was enjoying his food and kept eating as if his stomach was endless.

"I think I want to stay in Tempest for a while. You have really done a good job taking care of my little brother. I think this time I won't have to kill him again since he has finally gained some common sense and won't go around rampaging. Velgrynd would be really happy once she sees him." after she said that she put on a teasing smile. "Though I think I know someone she would be happier to see."

Guy, who was still in a thoughtful mode, spoke up and said.

"Actually, I might want to move to Tempest. How much for a house? It doesn't matter how big it is since I can modify it."

"Oh, well if Guy is moving I want to move in here permanently too" Said Velzard

"You want to move in here? Why is that?" I asked them.

"It's a good change of pace. I am bored of waiting around and doing nothing back in my territory. there seem to be some interesting things to do here, plus that way it will be easier to set up fights won't it?" Guy said.

"That's right! You still owe me my fight!" Velzard said while raising the fork she was using for eating.

"If you promise not to cause problems you are both welcome to stay. But, don't you have things to do in your territory?"

"It's a continent, and it is frozen. What is there for me to take care of over there? The only things living there are monsters born out of Velzard's magicules. As for my job, making sure there is balance… A bit too late to do anything about it isn't it Mr. Leader of one third of the world?"

"Touché"

Once dinner finished Velzard said that she was going to head to the library to exchange some books and Veldora took the chance to run away, leaving only Guy and me.

"Say, Rimuru, do you really not remember anything? It feels as if you do."

'Are you sure this is a good idea Ciel?'

[Yes.]

I looked at the complicated face of Guy before answering.

"I am not Rudra, Guy."

He stayed quiet for a moment.

"So you do. I had a lot of fun today reliving the old days. And seeing your city it seems like you accomplished your goal. Everyone seems to have a smile. I don't know what Veldanava did but it seems to have been for the best.

Why haven't you reached out to the Eastern Empire? Why haven't you reached out to Velgrynd? It made sense if you didn't remember, but I felt something was wrong while we fought. But, it didn't sink in until we started the tour of Tempest."

"Guy. I know what you are thinking, but I will repeat myself. I am not Rudra."

Guy stayed quiet for a moment. He had a small frown on his face before he sighed.

"So it is something similar to what the true dragons experience. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since I felt it during the fight. You are a true dragon now, so I guess you follow their rules. You carry their soul and a similar personality but the memories are gone."

"No."

I felt the world slow down once again as I parried a sword strike aimed at me. Once the attack was blocked Guy put his sword away and said with a slight smirk.

"Well, in that case, I owe proper introductions. It is nice to properly meet you, Rimuru Tempest."

"It is nice to properly meet you too, Guy Crimson. The house for you to stay at has been organized now. Let me know when and I can take you there."

"I have some preparations to do back in my territory, so I will be back in a few hours. If Velzard returns before me you can take her there first. I'll leave now to organize to get that done"

Guy said a few final words before disappearing.

(3rd pov)

Inside the frozen continent's mansion stood the red primordial.

"Not Rudra… You say that yet…"

Guy pulled out the sword and swung it once again.

"Maybe all of that reincarnation messed you up."

He looked at his reflection on the sword before sighing.

"Rimuru Tempest. If that is your choice I will respect it."

He looked towards the direction of Tempest.

"It was good to see you again, my old friend. Or is it my new friend?

Well, It doesn't matter who you are now, what matters is that you succeeded one way or the other. You made your people happy."
